Up for auction is a super 1800s American Ships Binnacle and oil lamp. The binnacles box is 100% hand made and dove tailed. The box is in very nice shape. It still has the original compass inside. The compass inside the box does not work the liquid has comes out of the compass but I'm sure it can be fixed. The compass still has its original glass plate. The compass is well marked Sloane& Co Baltimore. The compass has also comes lose from the arms holding it down to the box but they are still there and could be repaired but not by me. The box also has a super hand made oil lamp and case, the lamp is not broken which has to be hard to find. The box measures 14 inches high and 13 3/4 inches wide at the top. Base is 3 3/4" wide. Center hole is 1 7/8" in diameter. Ring where base would fit is 2" in diameter. Base is nonmagnetic but is heavy like cast iron. All of the lamp parts. Up for bid. A Model No. 3 Aladdin hanging lamp ceiling extension. Retractor is patent dated March 2 1920. Constructed of original nickel over brass finish, has a hole for eye hook for mounting to ceiling. Measures about 7 1/2" long. 5 1/2" wide, and 2 1/2" tall. Chains extend at least 24" Extension in great condition and will need a good cleaning. Extension, retractor, and stop is in great working condition but could use a shot of oil. Has some very light surface oxidation on the cap, bracket and chain. Great old Aladdin ceiling extension for collection. Display, or use with your hanging lamp! Offered at No Reserve.
