Hard to see the repair, it is where the orange becomes black at the bottom of the oil temp gauge directly under the gauge. Item works well and appears to be coagulated oil as it rises and falls. It is offered in as found condition with a break in the base/stem area, and will need to be welded and repaired to function again. There is no font with this piece. It would measure approximately 11" tall with a base diameter of approximately 5" in size. This lamp will accommodate a font of approximately 1" in size. The treadings inside look good. There is an old repair to the underside of the base. Hopefully, this lamp will find the hands of the person who can make these proper repairs. Great natural patina to this piece. It's from an estate sale and had been in a cabinet for prolonged time, antique gold paint and Dawn dishsoap will probably make it look brand new, my pic magnifies it simply isn't that bad but wanted to show it in the pic. I put in 16 ounces of mineral oil for a test and it works just fine. The light looks like one of the period Christmas light, I drained it out there may be small residual amt left. Spectacular late 19th century pulley kerosene/oil chandelier. Stunning red glass with slight swirl. This light has been electrified and in that process an additional Victorian era lamp canopy was added so this is READY TO INSTALL TO A JUNCTION BOX! The light was also repainted in a period appropriate rich gilt. The pulley action was not altered and it still works(though the wiring will bunch up if you pull on it) No damage to the shade. This is a pair of antique East Lake type Victorian oil lamp holders and brackets for auction. They are cast iron and are 4" across where and oil lamp would sit. You are bidding on a wonderful Antique wall mounted oil lamp holder that came out of a 1700's New England farm house. I do not know the age of the cast iron lamp holder or where it was made. The cup sits on the arm that is decorated to look like leaves and buds of a flower. The cup to hold the lamp or planter is designed to look like a sunflower. This unusual piece of art is 12 inches long and the cup is 5.5 inches across. This item has been used for many years and has not been polished or cleaned and is in as found condition. Vintage Amber Glass Oil Lamp Font/Bottom Made In Hong Kong Measures 12 7/8" tall with a 3 5/8" base. There is wear on the metal parts from age. There are no chips or cracks in the glass base. Small Brown Diamond Patterend Glass Oil Lamp, no wick or chimney Hong Kong OLD
This little lamp is made with Diamond Patterened Brown Glass. There are 4 seams up the sides. 1 around the middle and it is threaded on the bottom and screws in to the brass color metal base. That has"made in Hong Kong" stamped inside the bottom. It is old. Needs a good cleaning, and shows signs of wear, but there are no chips or cracks in the glass. The knob that raises and lowers the wick says"lamp light farms. So it is a replacement. There are no wick and chimney. Lamp stands 6 1/4 in tall and is 3 1/4 in. wide(chimney required should have a 1 1/4 in. base) Please look closely at the pictures. I will gladly answer any questions. I do combine shipping.
