Colonial Williamsburg Hurricane Globe in Wooden Stand
I purchased this at an estate auction along with another globe and brass candlesticks that were in Williamsburg boxes-see our other listings for these items. So I'm guessing this is a Williamsburg piece also. Judge for yourself from the photos as I cannot find any markings on it. Huge and very thick glass that looks to be hand blown based on the swirling and dimples in the glass from manufacturing. Overall this is 21 3/4" tall with the globe being 20" by itself. It's insert tightly in the wooden(walnut? base and I'm not going to try and remove it for fear of breaking. Base is 8" diameter x 2 5/8" high and looks to be turned walnut with blue felt bottom(small spot of moth damage to felt shown in photo 9) Globe is approx 8" at widest middle area and 6 3/4" top diameter. I believe one of the brass spike ... morecandleholders was in this as there is a darker circle on the inside of the globe on the wooden base-visible in photo 4. Colonial Nautical BRASS SHIP'S Lantern Colonial Williamsburg Vintage Great lantern is made from heavy gauge brass with side guards to protect the glass. This was purchased in 1960s/ 70s in Colonial Williamsburg and is candle based. The lantern measures 11" tall/12 1/2" with handle standing. The base is 4" square and the outside guards take the width to 5 1/2" It is in great vintage condition; the brass has some wonderful patina and minor marks. While it was purchased at Colonial Williamsburg. There are no marks, there does seem to be remnants of a label on the top rim- we cannot make out if this indicated Colonial Williamsburg, the manufacturer, or the pricing details. A CANDLE STAND EASY TO HANDLE! New debut offering this week is a petite vintage custom made Mahogany Dish Top Round Candlestand with splay leg feet on a turned baluster in very nice condition preowned and deaccessioned from a law partner's corporate office ready to be used in your colonial home. Please look at the pictures taken outside in natural sunlight. Vintage American made Candlestand is unmarked as to the manufacturer and made of solid grade tight grained Mahogany in a deep rich stained color like a fine antique. I approximate this to be at least 30 years old or so due to being a one owner piece and style of construction. It is far better than the cheap imported Bombay Company furniture now out of business, it is American bench made quality with good lines, nice weight for it size, and good lines and looks very study on the floor ... moreand stable. It measures 21.5" tall and 16" across the top fitted with a carved raised dish ring around the edge. The splay legs are mortised into the base pedestal but not dovetailed. The item is from smoke free home all around. It may also be used as a Wine Stand or small lamp table chair side, so versatile, you can tuck it anywhere. Condition Report: Preowned Candlestand is used. But not abused. Slight darkening of center circle on top from light exposure but overall even coloration. Very slight scratch to surface on top on two places measuring one inch to be picky. This represents normal vintage use and high bidder acknowledges no arguments expecting a brand new piece. Antique Gold Gilded Deep Round Mirror 19th Century Colonial Williamsburg Style
Exceptional old round mirror in wonderful condition without damage. There is not even any missing decorative gesso. The only minuscule crack I noticed is shown in pic#5 and is certainly in the category of normal for a piece this old. My guess is that it is from the late 1800s up to maybe 1920. Although I am not an expert. Most of my estimate of age is based on the patina of the finish and aging of the wood on the back. The paper dust cover is old but I am unsure if it is original. I know nothing about judging the age of mirrors so I don't know if it is original. There is a short faint line in the glass upon close inspection. The widest point is just over 23" the raised rim on the front is 21" in diameter, the mirror is just over 16" wide and the frame is 4" thick. The gold is more of a matte finish than the pictures, ... moreas the flash of the camera added some brightness. This is a great opportunity to add a featured piece to your decoration, or to include a rarely offered piece to your collection.

You are bidding on a Virginia Metalcrafters Colonial Williamsburg mahogany& brass octagonal tea caddy. The caddy measures approximately 4.75" tall and 5.5" wide. Though it has nice eye appeal. This piece does have a few condition issues. First, there are a couple chips in the wood just above the brass keyplate(see pictures) Second, the bottom piece of the interior foil liner is missing. And finally, the piece has light overall wear including some debris that is adhered to the bottom. It seems that it will come off, but I don't want to do it myself and possibly damage the caddy. Please note this is a silverplated item and not pewter. This is a real treat. These items are no longer being made and this one is in very good condition inside and out, and has had little use. The CW can be seen in the oval part of the mark and the number below is J8-14. Also marked Stieff Silverplate Williamsburg. The solid wood handle is also in very good condition and the lid hinge works fine. No dings. Dents, or scratches. The coffee pot is approx. 10 1/2 inches in height which includes the finial.
