Virginia Metalcrafters VMC Colonial Williamsburg CW16-33 Spike Candlestick
This item is a vintage candlestick/ candle holder that has been sand cast by Virginia Metalcrafters for Colonial Williamsburg Restoration and is called a"Spike Candlestick. It is solid brass and the spike is iron. Measurements are 7 1/2" + 2 1/2" for the spike for a total of 9" It is an old piece so there is some wonderful patina(minor scratching around the rim) and some minor tarnish spots that could be polished out depending on taste. The VMC Virginia Metalcrafters hallmark is shown in photo#4 and the Williamsburg hallmark is shown in photo#5. This is a wonderful heavy piece that has a solid presence.

Continental size. 4x6 vitnage postcard, in good condition. COURTHOUSE OF 1770- Williamsburg. Virginia- For more than two hundred years, this building has stood as a symbol of law and order, serving Williamsburg and James City County until 1932. The design of the overhanging pediment would seem to call for columns, but there is no documentary evidence for their existence. Original collector noted 10/81 in the stamp area.
