A great item for all Colonial Williamsburg Collectors! A 1971 catalog for Colonial Williamsburg(page 184) describes the jug as item# M 30: A Devonshire jug inspired by this small slipware pitcher. Done in yellow glaze with brown sgraffito decoration. Like the original it is inscribed"E.M. 1792" Height is 5 inches and is a factory 1st with no firing flaws. Chips, or cracks- is as perfect as the day it was purchase. I have had this little Colonial Williamsburg Jug in my personal collection for many years. A pair of extremely well made chairs. Around 40 years old. The blue-grey tweed upholstery is in fine condition, and the exposed wood shows only minor wear. These chairs are very similar in style and quality to the Kittinger reproduction for Colonial Williamsburg of an English Rococo gentleman's smoking chair, circa 1760. This pair of chairs is not marked by any maker. But the quality of manufacture is excellent. This style of chair offers comfort and style with a continuous crest rail and padded back, arms and seat, and can be used equally well in various rooms at home. A set of 8 hand blown BLENKO Glass water goblets made for the Colonial Williamsburg Foundation. These glasses date from the very early 1950s(per my childhood recollection) These hand-blown goblets range slightly in size from 7.5” to 8” tall. And 3.75" to 4.25” wide at the top. Each glass also varies slightly in thickness of glass, size of the air trapped teardrop& in the pontil on the glass base. There are no chips or cracks, but 2 glasses have( always have had) a slightly smoky-grey tinge to the glass. My mother referred to these as her"social smokers" and that no one else ever noticed. Up for auction is a*rare* Spode Porcelain Clock Case. It is from the Spode Colonial Williamsburg collection. It depicts the Williamsburg Colonial Garden. Interpreted from a green leather sewing case with gilt chinoiserie decoration in the collections of Colonial Williamsburg. This is a beautiful porcelain case that I found at a sale in Palm Springs. California. It did not come with the clock itself, but could possibly be replaced. It is marked inside Spode- Made in England- F1813-Y and a 55(which could be style) It measures, 3 3/8" tall, 3 1/4" wide and 2 1/8" deep. It is in great condition. This glorious Royal Leerdam Trumpet shaped Air Twist Goblet was made in the early 1970's. Beautifully scaled and an exact reproduction of those appearing in the Williamsburg Collection. Originally sold as a Water Goblet. It is wonderful now to use as a wine. I do have an additional seven of these available.all in the same glorious condition. Totally handblown in the 18th century manner. The crystal has the look of Steuben. Condition is almost as new. As they were kept in a cabinet all of these years. No chips, cloudiness, or repairs to any at all. Replacements has these currently priced for 109.95 ea.
