Machined rivets and solid manufacture, made post industrial revolution(uniform machined rivets) but the brass handle show hand forgoing, hammer marks. The handle is big and attached really well for the heavy weights. The rim has a lip that covers a metal ring that supports the pot on the handle as well as those rivets that attach directly to the pot. I can find no mark other than the"3" on the brass and a star in relief on the wood handle. It's a beauty and will look great hanging in your kitchen but I think it really wants to be put back in action-a pot like this will be a privilege to cook with. It has no other metal lining. Antique Indian Brass Mughal Islamic Pot or Ewer 18th Century
Item: An antique 18 th Century Indian all brass Mughal. Islamic pear shaped pot or ewer with teardrop shapes on both sides. The spout is straight with a ring type knop. Stands on four feet and measures around 8.5 inches high. It measures around 7.5 inches across. Condition: The dome shaped top is detached from the handle and needs a pin or wire to hold it together. One of the feet is bent as shown but I did not want to straighten it. Without doing this it will only stand firm in one position. No other damage or repair. There is a stone rattling inside. Oriental/Satsuma copper and brass pot Here we have a wonderful satsuma copper and brass pot. Beleived to be dating estimated from around 1800-1850, this is advice that was given to the last owner from a dealer and i can admit that i am not an expert, the dealer was french based and she had it appraised days after buying it in france to display in her holiday home. it is made from a nice quality metal. The shaped castings are exquisite! The general patina of the pot does show small signs of age but generally is great. The decorative brass peices are of exceptional quality but there is evidence of wear that has caused some smoothing especially around the handle which once i am sure was once very ornate. I would say the general condition of the peices are very good from a collecting point of veiw. There are sections where there are scratching ... moreand imperfections but a good hours worth of polishing would remedy this, please note the inner side of the pot is quite grubby, this such a beautiful peice, best i have ever had as copper pots go! You might think this ancient antique pot is Chinese, especially because of the legs. I’ve had a knowledgeable friend look at this pot and he was stumped. This does not happen very often, as my friend is an expert on ancient ethnic items. His best guess was that it was made in Turkey and that it is at least 19 th century. Just above the loose iron ring is a brass crescent and round disc. Which does look Islamic. As you look at the photographs, you will see that every part of this 9 ½ inch diameter by 11 inch tall(24cm x 28cm) pot is made from hand wrought iron. The construction is very similar to armor. Around the top rim is a hammered piece of brass with a cut edge. You can see in the photographs that this ancient iron pot retains its original patina. The bottoms of the legs may have had wood inserts. Two legs are empty, one leg has a very early wood plug, and the fourth leg has a wood plug with an iron cap. I may not know exactly who made this early iron pot or exactly how old it is. But one thing I’m sure of is that some eBayer will win this auction because there is no reserve

Beautiful Antique Indian Brass Rice/Grain Measure 1 Payli. Pail/ Pot/ Bucket! It is in very good condition. It does have a few dents but thats to be expected with an item so old which was used to measure grains, rice. etc. We aquired it at an Estate Sale and were told it is over 75 years old. It is engraved with"1 Payali" on the top rim band and below the band it is engraved with"J.N. KANSARA KANSARA CHAWL BOMBAY 2" There is also a dotted engraving on the back, I do not know what it says(see picture) The bottom is engraved with"J.N. KANSARA. Beautiful Old Antique Moghul Persian Brass Double Inkwell. c.1890. This attractive and well made inkwell is beautifuly engraved and detailed. this is an exquisite large antique bronze and enamel Japanese champleve vase. it is nice size for this style vase and made from extremely thick. Heavy bronze. it has nice early enamel colors which is still in good shape and vibrant. The enamel makes gorgeous highly embossed stylized floral detailing. it has two solid wood handles on each side. I believe it once had other bronze handles that were changed over to these great acorn shaped handles. gives it a great and obscure look. the detail is truly exquisite and very ornate. Antique Hand Hammered Middle Eastern Brass Pot Vessel Bowl Animal Floral Motif
Up for your consideration is an antique primitive hand hammered brass bowl/vessel/pot. I believe that this bowl may be middle eastern in origin. It was acquired at an estate in upstate New York. I have seen other pieces with similar hand hammered motifs of middle eastern origin. This particular piece appears to have some sort of animal that resembles a fox or wolf that is hand hammered around the piece. The other motifs would be floral in nature such as vines or flowers. The top is a rolled lip. There is evidence of a vertical seam on the piece as well as a horizontal seam where the vessel is at is widest diameter. The bottom also appears to be dovetailed. But I am unsure. As you will note from the pictures, felt pads were placed on the bottom of the vessel. I have not attempted to remove them nor has the piece been cleaned in any way. This is a heavy Antique Solid Brass Pot. Kettle or other? It is 5" tall not counting the handle and with handle is 12" tall and 10" in diameter. Handle is riveted on, does not move and appears to also be brass and a very solid piece of it, I can see the brass color under all that patina. Needs to be cleaned as you can see in pics inside and out, or leave as is, lots of patina and inside is pretty dirty and needs to be cleaned. It's a very unique looking pot but I cannot find any markings anywhere that would indicate who the maker is. Bottom of kettle, that I can make out in a circular shape is"BY THE WATERB.SS CO" around the bottom, MANUFACTURED" across the center. This may be from the WATERBURY BRASS CO. Iron handle has forged rat tail ends and is attached to 2 brass ears which are riveted to the kettle with copper rivets. The brass ears have a number 4 on them. Not sure if this indicates size. Top edge of kettle is rolled over what appears to be an iron rod but not sure. Bottom is slightly rounded but will sit with some rocking rocking. It does appear to be spun but not sure. For sale is a GORGEOUS ANTIQUE BRASS& COPPER COOKING PAN I feel so Blessed to find such special items! I have had the privilege of listing so many treasures(and keeping even more for my own collection) that are rare. Unique and even one of a kind. Here is another unique item- there are no others listed on eBay or that I have come across online or in stores like this one! From the research that I've done so far. This pan appears to be of English or French origin. It has the characteristics of those that were made in the late 1700's early 1800's for ... morethe purpose of cooking jams, jellies or casseroles. Remember-I am still waiting for an expert to confirm these findings. This pan is so heavy and solid! It weighs 4.88 lbs The dimensions are: 14.5" handle to handle diameter 12.5" edge to edge diameter 8" height to top of handle 5.5" depth The hand forged craftsmanship of this old pan is MAGNIFICENT! Dovetails. Handmade rivets and masterfully done reinforcement of the bottom all demonstrate the years of dedication, time and skill that were required of its crafter! The thick brass handles are forever firmly attached by the largest solid copper rivets that I have ever seen! These rivets are so beautiful-they are a work of art on their own. The riveted reinforced/repaired bottom is my favorite trait of this piece. The beautiful pattern adds so much to its character. While I don't know much about the exact history. It is obvious from the blackening and residual soot on the bottom exterior, that this was a hearth pan- used for cooking over an open flame.
