The interlaced trefoil and triangle was a common symbol of Christian Trinity during the late Middle Ages in Europe. It is mitered and contoured at the neck for proper fit. The stole is 46 inches long from neck to each end. Almost 5 inches wide at the end and 2.5 inches wide at the neck. The stole is substantial weight and is of very good quality. Red Vestment with Three White Crosses This is a lovely red vestment with a matching stole. The fabric is a plain and has some weight to it. There are three very nice White Crosses down the front and back of the vestment. There is a black and gold banding(thin strip) that runs down the front and back and around the edges of the chasuble. White Vestment with Holy Trinity Decoration This is a very nice white vestment with matching stole. It is used. But overall in great condition. The fabric is a midweight fabric, plain. And there is gold/white piping around the edge of the chasuble. On one side there is an applique of a cross and a palm branch. On the other side is a lovely representation of the Holy Trinity. Lot of 4 Vintage Clergy Stole Vestment white green cream and yellow nice
These are very nice and clean vintage stoles with no spills or stains. The one exception is stole number 4 and it is a small dot that is pictured. 1 is no exception it is clean with nothing on it but green and a gold stripe. It measures 49" long and is 3 1/2" wide at the bottom and 3" at the top. It is lined with the same material as the front and I am not sure what that is. It could be polyester. 2 is also very clean with no spills or stains. It is a very soft yellow color and measures from top to bottom 55" and is 4" wide at the bottom and 3 1/2" at the top. It is a very soft and I think linen type material on both sides. 3 is also a very clean white stole with the exception of a small area at the collar that is on the edge(pictured) and could be a discoloring of the threads. It measures from top to bottom ... more55" and is 4" wide at the bottom and is 3" wide at the top. It is the same material front and back. 4 this stole is an absolutely beautiful cream color and has no issues with one exception. It has a small dot of something and I have it pictured. White Vestment with Gold Crosses This auction is for a white vestment with stole. The vestment and stole are both made of a plain white fabric. The vestment is edged with a yellowish gold trim. There are five gold cross applique's on the front and the back. There are some minor signs of usage. The stole has crosses embroidered on the ends and one cross applique sewn on at the neck. the cross at the neck matches the ones on the chasuble. But the one's at the bottom do not match. That shouldn't matter much because they will not be seen when the stole is under the chasuble. The stole also has some signs of usage around the neck. It has a square yoke and a nice embroidered decoration at the bottom center(front and back) consisting of a red cross and wheat and grapes. It's an Abbey brand size large. Surplice length in the center from the bottom of the yoke to the bottom of the surplice measures 31 inches. The sleeve length from the seem at the shoulder to the end of the sleeve is 18 inches.
