This item is in good-used condition with an awesome patina. It was definately used alot. As evidenced by the various dings, knicks, etc. that are on it- is gives it an awesome vintage look. It was made by M. Hey Manufacturing Company that was located at 637 N. 3rd Street in Philadelphia, PA(see pic) The spigot by itself weighs 3 lb 8-1/2 oz. The handle on the top still turns and if you blow in it when closed, no leaking air is evident, but when you continue to blow and turn the handle, the air escapes.it still works, though I do not know if it would hold liquid without dripping. vintage 40s Toledo UHL Draftsman Stool OAK SEAT & GREEN BASE chair Machine Age
Very nice all original UHL Toledo Draftsman pivoting chair with wooden casters. This is the first one I have had with quartersawn tiger oak seat and back. The height adjustment(15-1/4" to 18-1/4" is made via the metal plates under the seat. O riginal military green finish base with only normal light surface wear. No damage. Very sturdy. An excellent chair. By removing 4 wing nuts the seat easily separates from the base- I have priced shipping based on my doing this to reduce the package size. If you prefer that I ship it in one piece I can adjust the shipping rate to reflect the actual cost of doing so. The Toledo Metal Furniture Co. Adjustable Stool. This stool is in great shape and has fully functional adjusting parts. All ball joint feet are in-tact and in great working order. Toledo label is showing some wear, as shown. Seat height of stool adjusts from low of 24 1/2" to high of 28 3/4" the locking spring is in-tact and in great working condition. This stool has a label on it back, American Aircraft 254" Opposite of the American Aircraft label is a piece of old masking tape. Veneer of seat and back are fully in-tact and in great shape.

Awesome very collectable UHL Industrial Steel Table. The table measures 2 ft 10' high and 2 ans 1 ft 5' X 1 ft 2 1/2 across the wood top. It is an Army Green and in used condition but not bad considering its age. The wheels all work well and mainly used on the top wood. Excellent piece of History.

Vintage Industrial Adjustable UHL Toledo Drafting Stool w/ Backrest and Footrest
UHL Stool This vintage UHL stool dates from 1940-1950. The stool adjusts up and down and adjustment works perfectly(height of seat from 16 1/2" to 24" When the seat is set in it's lowest position the top of the backrest is 30" high. The original seat and back have been refinished to a rich dark walnut with a satin lacquer clear coat. The seat measures 16" wide and 14" deep. The backrest measures 13 1/2" wide and 6" high. Both are 3/8" thick. The seat swivels freely. The foot rest ring is 20 1/4" in diameter which is more desirable than the standard 16" The chair was completely dismantled and sandblasted by a professional. Set 4 Vintage Uhl Pottery Barrel Mugs Commemorate 1927 "WE" Lindburgh Book
Heavy crock barrel-shaped mugs 4 1/2" tall and 3" across tip or hand-trimmed rim foot. One of Indiana's best known commercial potteries spanning 19th and 20th Century with sanitary. Utilitarian and art pottery; Uhl is collectible due to its unique wheel-thrown early work and later artistic style. This barrel mug was made for many years in the early 20th Century and best survives in this"oatmeal/gray" color and a transparent green. Most were marked"16" on the bottom as are 3 of these. A few like the one included here were marked with the impression of an airplane and"WE" on bottom(see pic) to commemorate the book written by Charles Lindburgh in 1927 after his historic solo trans-Atlantic flight. fantastic UHL Toledo vintage adjustable industrial stool; circa 1940s.possibly a bit earlier( collectors will know) if there were a label. It would be red, black& gold and read:The Toledo Metal Furniture Co, Toledo, Ohio UHL Steel Quality, Honor, Strength and Service" Furniture Toledo USA" adjustable apparatus underneath allows for at least 7 heights; the metal pads(base of legs) are on the balled feet this beautiful example retains its original and desirable industrial green finish. And an inch thick swiveling oak seat which is in amazing condition; no chips, cracks, scarring. really quite impressive for its age foot rest is in 4 sections and is 18" across; this appears to be a taller version than another of the same period. Industrial Toledo Metal 14" H Rolling Stool 14" D UHL Steel Furniture Painted
All castors roll and ossilate freely. Original label identifies it as made by"Toledo Steel and UHL Metal Furniture Co. This one came from a closed machine shop in New Britain. Cute little guy and mighty handy. It was rusty when I got it and as much as I hate new paint I felt it needed some curb appeal. I used 000 steel wool and thinner to clean it and painted it with Rustoleum Hammered Paint. I did not paint the bottom of the seat to keep the label visible. I have some nice items including more industrial things like lites etc this week. PLease have a look.

You're looking at an original set of 4 UHL TOLEDO chairs. These came out of an old school that closed many years ago so I have several others available. Each chair is on casters and the seat height is adjustable from approx 16" 20" so they're perfect for a standard table height. The maple plywood seats/ backrests are in good condition with the odd scratch here and there but no major chips. The original paint finish shows wear commensurate with age. Indian Wars to Spanish/American Wars NY New York National Guard Army 7th Regiment Dress Uniform. Beautiful museum quality Tunic with Pants. This wonderful gray tunic has an ornate design. With a swallow tail, hand and machine stitching, quilted lining, is ID'd"Oswald W. Uhl" inside on the faint Brooks Bros. Broadway, New York tag, it also has the rare"Scovill MF'G Co" Waterbury, Conn" 7th Regt" Standard" gold buttons, a mark which was supposedly only used from 1850-1865, the fronts of the buttons read"Excelsior National Guard" Pants are standard gray wool with a black stripe down the side of each leg and Brooks Bros. NY buttons. The tunic silk lining on the tails has a stain that can be seen in picture 2 on the right side and on the pants there are some dirt? marks around the knee cap area ... moreon both legs. Both pieces are made of a heavy wool with no moth holes and show very little wear considering the age. The original NYNG unit was organized in Troy. New York, mustered 6 November 1861 and designated 2nd Regiment Cavalry by the state of New York on 18 November 1861; changed by the War Department to 7. N.Y. Cavalry, mustered 31 March 1862. ANTIQUE TOLEDO UHL TALL INDUSTRIAL DRAFTING CHAIR STOOL 1930-1940's
This Antique office drafting chair is one I know the full history of. It came from Cottrell's Printing Press Manufacturers in Pawcatuck, Ct. Made by Toledo Metal Furniture Co. UHL Steel USA, it's age is est. 1930-1940. I purchased this chair in 1969 when Cottrell's was upgrading furniture they sold these to employees. The chair, stool is very comfortable as people sat in them for 8 hrs or more a day. When I bought the chair it was close to 35 years old and I have had it for 44 yrs. This was built for an industrial machine shop setting, it is fully adjustable from 28" low setting to 32 1/2" high setting as well as the back rest being adjustable, it swivels has a curved seat made of walnut veneer 16" x 14" the back is 6" x 13" also in walnut veneer. A comfortable foot rest at 12 1/2" high is made ... moreof metal. The entire base is metal with a bit of surface rust on it, otherwise the chair is in excellent condition for it's age. Vintage Toledo UHL Gray Industrial Drafting Stool Chair Antique - Must See!
Up for sale is a beautiful vintage original Toledo UHL drafting stool in very good condition. Like anything that is over 70-80 years old. It has some nicks, scratches and such. However on the whole it is in really nice shape as well as being very clean. The stool has some rust spots where the paint has warn away over time on it as are visible in the pictures. But nothing out of the ordinary for its age. It has been well cared for, but has that desired aged look where you can tell it has been around. The sticker fell off it at some point. I took a picture of the spot before wiping it off so you can see it was a real Toledo stool. If you have ever seen the sticker between the 2 rivets you can see the outline there to know that it was once on there many years ago. It will make a great addition to someone who is looking for a vintage piece like ... morethis that can appreciate its"character" and imperfections. While being proud to have a clean functional example of a timeless drafting stool. As far as shipping. In the past what I have done is take the back riser part off as it is easily removable, so that I can properly box the stool to be able to ship it anywhere in the continental U.S for a reasonable price. The buyer will have to put the back riser back on, but it is only held on by 4 bolts and is easily done. Trying to ship it any other way is far too costly and just not practical given the size. The bowl has a Columns Design. Other midwest company's use this but a little different. This bowl looks great and has no chips, nicks or hair lines. Pottery Stoneware Watering Can Planter Uhl Other Good Morning. This is a very nice and very clean old pottery or stoneware figure of a watering can. The can has been used as a planter as there is a little water deposit ring inside near the top. I see no other damage no chips, nicks or hair lines. The maker looks to me to be Uhl Pottery in Indiana, I'm not real sure. The general size is 2 7/8" tall x 2 3/8" at top x 2 3/8" at base. A side handle attaches to the long neck and to the shoulder of the jug. So many of the early stoneware and pottery makers made assorted miniatures. Often very similar. I have seen this jug attributed to Uhl on other Ebay and online sites. It is heavy for it's size, weighing a bit under one half a pound, as you would expect. Height is four and one eighth inches and base diameter is one and three quarter inches. Satiny burgundy glaze is flawless with the exception of an odd little glaze anomaly. It almost looks like someone hit the glazed clay with the end of a fingernail, going into the kiln, just a guess but that is what it looks like to me. Not a glaringly obvious ... moreflaw, these miniatures are well known for glaze pops and bumps. Shown best in photo three. Base is dry or unglazed revealing the tan clay. Vintage UHL Pottery Miniature Jug. One Handle Description: Unique vintage Uhl Pottery miniature jug. Square bodied with a single handle attached on a corner. Three inches tall and roughly one and three quarter inches square. Opening is only about three eighths of an inch with a outer diameter of five eighths of an inch. Glaze color is somewhat translucent over beige clay. Base is dry or unglazed. pencil mark reading Uhl was light pencil, now removed. I have a reference to this jug, found it in, Uhl Pottery, Identification and Value Guide, by Anna Mary Feldmeyer and Kara Holtzman. Page 146, bottom row, plate 273, second one. BAM! I love it when that happens which is not so often that I get used to it. Condition is excellent, no damage, no open glaze pops, just a few bumps, well covered, no chips, no cracks, no crazing. White splotches in top ... moreopening of picture two was some sort of residue, which I easily removed. I don't think this one is as commonly found, so snap it up before it's gone. Large UHL Pottery jug. Modified Egyptian Jug#149 The color on this is a mystery to me. It looks burgandy, or brown, or purple, or mauve, you can even say it's iris The great people on the Glass. Pottery& Porcelain community board helped me to identify this as UHL It is shown in Feldman's UHL Pottery book as: Modified Egyptian Jug#149 and made prior to 1944(Uhl closed in that year) This piece measures: 11 3/8" base to spout. 4" at the widest This has an angular squared handle as opposed to the normal curved Egyptian#127 Unglazed foot ring measures: 3 1/8" Excellent condition(see photos) No chips, no cracks, no damage noted. There are a couple of inclusions in the glaze and a few pin holes You can see there is a mark on the bottom but it is illegible. That's why I asked the people on the boards. Offered is a VINTAGE UHL STONEWARE CIDER PITCHER w/CURRANTS. Exterior design shows grapevine and arbor. Heighth is 5 3/4" while it is 8 1/8" from spout to handle. Color in photos is very accurate. Does have two very tight hairlines at top rim- not much of a real detraction(see sixth picture) Tiny glaze loss at top rim(see seventh picture) Overall. Excellent collectible stoneware condition! Early Stamp Uhl Pottery Mug 4.5" Huntingburg Ind MINT
Early pottery mug from Uhl in mint condition. Bears an earlier stamp. Numbered 16. Stands 4.5 inches tall. Measures 4 9/16 high, measures 2 11/16 across the inside of the rim, 4.75 inches from the outside of the rim to the edge of the thumb rest and 2.875 inches across the outside of the base. Highly collectible Uhl shoe in great condition; approx 5" long and 2 3/4" high. Not marked but you can see the same shoes pictured in 1st edition of Uhl Pottery Identification& Value Guide by Feldmeyer and Holtzman on Page 119(Plate 211) Great addition for any collector. Tongue was folded out quite a ways so the notch in photo 6 is original and was glazed and fired that way. No chips or cracks; typical glaze pops and minor crazing.see photos for additional detail.
