ANTIQUE/VINTAGE LOT OF 60 METAL BUTTONS, VICTORIAN, GAY 90'S, STEELS,PICTURES,NR
This is a lot of 60 antique/vintage metal buttons. This is not the lot that I auctioned that is just ending now. These are larger. I collected these. As I found them, over time. There is a nice variety here and in a variety of sizes. They range in diameter from 3/4" to 1 5/8" I have broken them down into groups of six, and pictures 2-11 show them in close-up, so you can see what is here. I started with the largest ones in picture 2, and tried to work down in size from there. I included a quarter at the top of each picture to give you a size comparison. Each button is different and I gave them a light cleaning. All have their shanks, but some of those may be bent. I noticed some light rust on the backs of several. These are not perfect, but are just so much fun, and will surely be enjoyed for years to come. There are a few Gay 90's(pictures ... more2& 8) one with glass(picture 3, top right) several with an Art Deco feel, pictorials, cut steel, cages, and many others. As I worked to clean them, I thought that each one was special in its own way. The pictures will do a much better job of describing them to you than I can. The other 3 were used for paperweights. This type would have pictures of World Fairs or Victorian Die Cuts. The largest one measures 4 1/2" long X 3" wide X 3/4" thick and all 4 sides have a nice design. The next size measures 4" long X 2 1/2" wide X 1" thick. This one has some scratching on the top. The smallest one is a 3" X 3" square X 1"thick. All are in very good condition no chips. Cracks or repairs there is some minor wear from age and use. Antique Pair of 1930's Kellogg's Vernon Grant wall plaques pictures prints vtg
I was told these were from the 30's. They are wall hangings that were part of a set of six by Kelloggs. These two are Lady Bug. Lady Bug, and Friday Night's Dream. They both measure 6.5 inches by 5.25 inches. I would not say they are in bad shape but they are not mint. 20 Antique Vintage Hard RUBBER GOODYEAR BUTTONS I buy buttons at estate sales. Auctions and on Ebay. I enjoy learning about them, cleaning some of them, sorting them and then selling them. I rarely keep any of the buttons I buy. There are 20 buttons in this lot. Each square on the mat represents one-inch so you can judge approximate sizes. I did not clean these buttons. I just dusted them off a bit. There are pictures of both the fronts and backs so you can better judge the quality of these buttons. Note that some of the back marks have worn off a bit, but there is enough that I am fairly confident that these are all Goodyear buttons. Wonderful pair of antique pictures in frames with curved glass
This is a wonderful pair of antique pictures. I can't find any signature on them. They are in timber frames with curved glass and the original backing. I have tried to show you the curved glass in Photograph 7. They measure 13.5cms wide and 10.5cms tall. They are in very good antique condition- although there is a fox mark on the top left of the one with the man sitting on the left. Please take the time to enlarge the photographs and appreciate these special items- the photographs form part of the description. Antique Set of Peter Watson's Studio Bubble Shell Convex Framed Pictures Marked
I am selling 2 concave type of circular pictures that are antique. They are both marked on the backs"HAND MADE PETER WATSON'S STUDIO" They are a set of 2 that I believe are colored shells that make up a floral design. Some of the shells on each have come loose and there are a couple floating within the frame. The frames seem to be in good condition. One of the hangers is gone on the back of one but a good facsimilie has replaced it. They are ready to hang. I believe they are from the late 1930's to the 1940's. Lot of four scrapbooks ranging from 1936- 1960. These scrapbooks have a large variety of newspaper clippings. Poems, prints, let etc. etc. etc. Some of the newpaper clippings feature President Abraham Lincoln, one being a print of a"Lincoln's Letter to the Editor" dated 1802 and a letter that was written to Mrs. Bixby dated 1864. There is also a newspaper clipping regarding President Kennedy and Billy Graham praying together, which includes a photo dated March 2, 1962. There are also articles with photos of the Dionne quintuplets. These albums are filled with a lot of fascinating information, too much to list individually. The scrapbooks were created by Carrie Maynard from Detroit, Michigan. Her husbands name was Roger B. Maynard who was also a songwriter. There are many articles regarding Detroit.

Antique scrapbook 1903-1906 or so; poems, pictures, stories
This scrapbook started out as a sample of a Dictionary of the Bible(Smith; Illustrated) I deduce that from the little bits of text one can still see and from what looks like the spine pasted inside the front cover. And another pasted inside the back cover. Each spine is nearly 3 inches wide, but the book itself is only about an inch thick. at the end are some lined pages with columns labeled"Subscribers Names, Residence, Style of Binding. Tucked into the back is an ad for"The Devotional and Practical Polyglot Family Bible, Containing the Old and New Testaments, with the marginal readings, and a full and original selection of references to parallel and illustrative passages, arranged in a manner hitherto unattempted. Together with a concordance: a careful index to the Bible, in which every difficult word is explained. Also, a family ... morerecord, many useful tables and valuable treatises, designed to promote and facilitate the devotional study of the Holy Scriptures. It has a sample of one of the engraved pictures and of one of the pages, and was available in Arabesque Leather, Sprinkled Edge for $7.50, Gilt Edge for $8.50, or French Morocco, Full Gilt for $12.00. Now it's a scrapbook. The cover of the book is brown leather. Worn and somewhat stained. Both the front and back covers are detached, but present. The binding of the pages is rather wobbly and a page or two at the front, detached but present. Some pages have been cut out. I've noticed this in other books that are being reused as scrapbooks; it looks as if they would cut out every other page so that when articles and such were pasted into the book it would still close completely instead of having the pages fan out. Most of the pages are covered. But they didn't cover the ones with full-page pictures, and they left some of the lined pages at the end uncovered. One Augusta May Jackson of Orton, Kentucky has written on it that it is her book, and there are a couple of autograph verses on it. Silver is bright and so is Tin. The way I love you

Up for auction we have an antique photo album. Just in from a local estate. I really don't know much about it. There are 99 photos in the album. about 33 of them are very light, or faded. All are very interesting, and are of people, cars, buildings, landscapes etc. The pictures are all black, and white, and look to be from around the 1920s or so. The album is 7" X 10" and the pictures are 2 1/2" X 3 1/2" to 3" X 5" in size. Just a few are around 1 1/2" square. They are unmarked, and most are glued into the album. I see a sign that reads Alder Springs in one picture, and the boat in the one is named Roamer. Being offered in as found condition. A very interesting group. Add them to your collection, or display! Up for Auction is a Pair of Antique/Vintage framed Petit Point or Needlepoint of a Cat and a Dog.It is possible that these could also be Victorian but not certain.These are very well done and are possibly images of someones beloved Cat and Dog.The Dog appears to be a Saint Bernard and the Cat is possibly a Persian Cat or simply a long-haired Cat. The Frames are very ornate- Gilt Gesso Wood Frames with a round center surrounded by small beading in the frame(see pictures)Also the mats surrounding the images are'Gold' Textured Mats which appear to be original.The frames appear to have their original paper backing and hooks.Frames are a matching pair and measure approx. 8 inches X 8 inches. My wife has had this for many years and since we are moving and down sizing many treasures must go. This silver frame is Dutch and has high relief with a wonderful picture on each corner and a lady's head as the release to open the purse. The frame has Dutch Hallmarks. One of which is the solid silver standard mark for.883 silver( 883/1000) Our sterling silver is 925/1000. NOT SILVER PLATE! The outside edge has an attractive engraved pattern running around the entire edge. The frame measures 7" wide x 3 1/4" and 9/16 deep. It weighs 3.71 troy oz. 1915-1927 CUTE Baby Boy Vintage Antique Photo Album Pictures Pennsylvania NAMED
Adorable old photo album containing the babyhood and early childhood pictures of Emerson P. Green(10 Aug 1915-23 Oct 1912) He was the only child of Clarence Luther Green& Lillian M. Porter and lived at 112 West Richardson Avenue in Langhorne. Pennsylvania from 1920-2012! 92 years at the same address! Sadly Mr. Green and his wife Jean Mitchell Green never had any children so there was no one left in this family line. This album begins in 1916 and goes through 1929. It includes pictures of Emerson as a baby, toddler and a boy and early teen. Neat Halloween pictures, birthday parties, tricycles, family gatherings, some with pets and other little children. Several neat ones from Atlantic City at the age of 13 with LaVictoire Restaurant and a National Bank in the background. 152 pictures in all! Mr. Green. Age 97, passed away at home on Tuesday, ... moreOctober 23, 2012. He was the son of Lillian Porter Green and Clarence L. Green and lived a large portion of his life at the Green homestead in Langhorne, beginning at the age of 5. Emerson attended the Pierce Business School early in his life and practiced his profession in business until retirement. He spent a large amount of his time volunteering at the Langhorne Historical Society where he was involved in archiving historical artifacts for the society. An avid collector of Lionel trains, he was a long-time member of the Train Collectors Association. Mr. Green is survived by his wife Jean Mitchell Green of Langhorne and his sister-in-law Paula Mitchell of Columbus Ohio. In accordance with his wishes, burial was private.

Here's an antique 12" terrestrial globe made by W. A.K. Johnston. It stands about 22" tall and has a bronze claw foot stand. It's had a hard life. There are a bunch of areas where the paper has flaked off and someone has colored the areas green. The green filled in areas look to be a very old repair. Also the bronze ring around the globe has a crack. It still displays nice and is readable in most places. I originaly bought it in a group of swords thinking it was just thrown in to make the group more worth the price. it wasnt till i got it in the mail that i realized what i got. It is awesome. still has a graet edge on it. Very sturdy! 7 gold studs in the blade itself. there are markings on the blade but very hard to make out and i am not about to try and clean it. the very end part of the handle is exposed but still overall a fantastic piece. starting the bidding out high but feel free to message me with an offer. For your consideration today. We have an antique Victorian shadow box. This could possible be a mourning wreath with a photo of young children in the center. Around the picture, is a wreath of what appears to be dried greens and flowers, that are remarkably bright. There is a velvet border around the old wavy glass. The frame is a floral, leaf and banner gesso on wood. Condition wise, the piece is in good antique condition, the velvet is worn down close to the glass, the gesso has surface cracks pretty much all the way around, and the outside frame has some nicks. The background of the interior has spots on the seams, probably old dried glue. Even with all of that said, it is a lovely display piece. The seals on the back of the frames say“Carlu’s Originals of California” I have tried in vain to get any idea of who the artist Z.M.C. is. These are old. The backs show the age and are somewhat fragile but the pictures are ready to be displayed. They would be a welcome addition a Shabby Chic or Victorian décor. The glass of both is intact but there is a split in the wood at the bottom of one frame. As shown and the fronts show several small dings in the wood. The backing paper is fragile and torn. It has approx. 36 pages plus an addiitional set of 6 pages with double prints on both the front and back(2 to the front and 2 to the back smaller pictures) Description of damage above except for very minor wear to the cover.
