This Rosary necklace is an Antique sterling silver piece with amazing light blue almost tear drop shaped crystals. I'm not sure what this shape is called since I have never seen it before. It comes to a pointed tear drop at one end but the top is flat. They are faceted so they catch the light exquisitely. There's a total of 59 beads, see last pic with the date 1830 imprinted under the virgin. There is some normal wear from age, but once cleaned properly I'm sure it will look like new! This beautiful aurora borealis sterling silver rosary was carried by my aunt at her wedding. It is in its original box. It was put away and never used. It has a sterling cross and medal. The metal has the sacred heart on one side and Jesus and Mary on the other. Our Father bead is larger than the Hail Mary beads. It measures 22 ½” long. There are some scratches on the crucifix. Gorgeous antique large Sterling Silver and hand cut crystal(possibly rock crystal) rosary measuring when worn 23 1/2" long. Each crystal is completely hand cut which I hope you can see in my photographs. They measure approximately 8.5mm X 8.5mm. No 2 are exactly the same as they are all hand cut so sizes very slightly vary. They are all connected with a Sterling chain passing right through them. The rosary has a large and very ornate Sterling crucifix. Its detail and intricacy are beautiful and very ornate. The corpus is thick solid sterling also. A solid sterling silver sliding Military Saint Christopher is 1 1/4" long, it has a Sacred Heart and Miraculous Medal on it and is attached at the crucifix. This Rosary(hanging length) is right at 19 1/2" long. And is in Great antique condition, surface wear and patina. Vintage Marked Italy Sterling Silver Rosary with 59 Filigree Fluted 0.925 Beads. ALL STERLING& Weighs 24.8 grams& well over 70 years old. The crucifix measures 1 1/4 inch wide& 2 3/16 inches long. The Rosary measures about two feet or 24 inches in total length. That is an 8 inch drop from the top of the center medal. Plus the 16 inch doubled loop portion.
