The Infant Jesus appears to made of chalk-ware and is beautifully hand painted with brown glass eyes. The statue measures approximately 10" long. Halo end to end of toes. The gold tone halo is removable. On the back of the statue is a Made In Spain sticker. There is a wire on Jesus' back, which was how the statue was made, but I do not know what it would be for? On the underside of some of the toes on the Infant Jesus are very tiny dots of paint that appear to have been missed in the painting of the figurine. They are not chips as they are smooth. refer to the photo taken) The statue is HEAVY and will be CAREFULLY wrapped with new packaging foam sheets. Bubble wrap and packing peanuts for safety. Up for auction is a vintage French statue mantle wind-up clock w/key. I don't see any marks on the clock I am not sure of the age. It is in good condition but can't seem to get it to work. I know nothing about clocks tried to wind but got nothing from it. The clock is made of metal looks to be painted some small chips. There are plenty of pictures please look at all very close. Interesting map of North Dakota. Map measures 10 X 13.5 inches. Printed on thin paper. Rail Roads are shown in red. But not named, so thus this is not a railroad map. See scan. The map is not dated. But they came out of a loose leaf binder that has a copyright date of 1919, see above scan of copyright date. Map will come carefully rolled in kraft paper and inside a strong pvc mailing tube. This Cincinnati map is copyrighted 1906. It is from the 1910 Rand McNally Enlarged Business Atlas. It measures 28 X 20 inches. Would look fantastic framed under glass. Shadows seen are my scanner. Not the map. According to worldcat.org. No 1910 McNally Enlarged Business Atlas is known to still exist. A few soft bound folio's from 1910 are in the major reference collections, but it is not clear which maps are included in that edition there size or condition. Two beautiful pieces of scrimshaw. On faux ivory. Extremely detailed. Hand crafted engraving. First piece: 3 1/2 x 1 3/4 x 1 inches. There is a whale tail picture on it. Also there is a VERY DETAILED ship on it. You can spot the artist signature on the bottom right which makes it more precious. What makes this piece uncommon is its sling shape. Shape has no outer affect. It is Second piece is 2 and 1/4 inches tall. 1 and 1/4 inched wide. There is an ULTRA DETAILED big ship picture. You can spot the artist signature on the bottom right. BEAUTIFUL DETAILED ANTIQUE VICTORIAN RICH BLACK LACE FLOUNCE TRIM 29" x 9.5"
This auction is for a beautiful antique Victorian era lace flounce. It is intense black in shade and its texture is similar to a mesh netting with a lovely detailed upper portion with lacy diamond shapes. This is a lace with more substance and somewhat stretches when pulled in this area. It is of cotton fibers but when performing a burn test it has the smell of burning hair indicative of silk. Therefore. It may be a cotton/silk blend.there are no synthetic fibers. This is in wonderful condition with no major issues. Please disregard the tear at the bottom of the lace in Photo 1. This does not have any tears and is not the piece being sold in auction. I do not see any flaws;if there is. It is most definitely not noticeable. The lace is simply stunning and perfect for restoration of projects authentic of this period.
