This auction is for a lot of two nice children's? you get what is shown whatever the proper use or term for them would be) rosaries with interesting faceted crystal beads and silver colored medals. One rosary features 9 sapphire blue colored round beads, fine links and a small silver metal crucifix at one end and an oval-shaped medal at the other marked Italy. This item is very short/small-the beaded& link part alone measures about 6" long, crucifix is about 1 1/4" long, medal is 3/4"+. The other rosary has unusual sort of rectangular-shaped faceted beads that go from clear to an aqua or turquoise blue color. I counted approx 18 beads total, each measuring about 1/4"+ long, with two shiny silver metal medals, about 3/4"+ long. Both have a different design on the front and a large church or chapel on the backside with the one hanging at the bottom marked St. Anne. It's a little difficult to get an exact measurement of the rosary but when stretched out it would be about 9 1/8" long total including the St. Anne medal at the end. I wouldn't know if there is any actual silver content to the metal or not since there aren't any further markings and I haven't had them tested. For your consideration is this lovely Vintage Rosary. The cross crucifix is unusual and very pretty. It has fancy openwork and the center has light blue celluloid underneath Jesus. It measures 1 3/4" x 1 1/8" The ten Hail Mary beads are faceted blue glass. And the Our Father beads are round blue glass. The medal has a picture of Our Lady, the Virgin Mary with lovely flowers above and below. On the back of the medal are the initials PAX. The metal is a gold color. It could be brass or brass plated. No missing beads. Some are chipped or have surface wear. None are sharp! Some appear to be chipped, but have waves in the glass, that was done when made in the mold. VINTAGE LOURDES ALPACCA BREVETTO ITALY FIGURAL MARY BLUE BEAD ROSARY. This is a very lovely vintage rosary with blue figures of Mary in each bead. There is a metal tag above the cross that is stamped. LEGATURA ALPACCA" on one side and" BREVETTO ITALY" on the other. It is a 1958 Lourdes Fatima Centennial collectible. The rosary measures approximately 25" long and the cross is 2" long. The rosary is in very good used condition with no missing parts. Buyer pays shipping 6 oz. Priority Mail.
