Vintage 2 Sterling Silver Moonstone Black Purple Bead Copper Rosary 5 Piece Lot
Much more beautiful than in my pictures. This lot of five has/needs some type of repair. Two of the crosses are sterling silver and I believe antique that are great just by themselves. The black Nun Priest Rosary is fine except one arm of Christ is broken(30" long. 2-1/4 x 1-1/4" cross with 1/2 x 3/8" Beads, 1.9oz and marked Italy) One bead has some black missing like chips. The Moonstone one has had some wire repair before it reached me(20" long, 1-1/2 x 7/8" C&M Sterling Cross engraved Dec 1925 with 1/4" Beads and 19grs. The same is true with the 2 purple glass/stone ones(1 is 14" long with silver cross 1-3/4 x 3/4" 20 grs and just needs wire attached between beads. Other is 17-1/4" long 1-1/8 x 5/8" 15 grs and may have just had chain attached) The small copper one, 5-3/4" long, ... more3/4 x 1/2" cross and 5grms, needs a new pin back but all else if fine. All are in as is as found very good condition except for the flaws indicated. Could be cleaned/polished to look even better if wanted. this is a stunning high quality antique 19th century sterling silver prayer beads set. the crucifix is very dimensional and has a nice patina from age but can also be shined up if desired. it is marked"sterling" on the backside. the pendant in the middle of the beads is double sided and also very detailed. one side has Jesus and the other side has Mary both done in high relief. the side with Mary reads"Dater Dolor" the beads are all made from sterling silver and have larger single beads. all beads are held together by nice circular silver links. the piece is in great shape and measures 16 3/4 inches long. This is a very rare set of antique sterling silver and carved light green jade stone rosary prayer beads. it's very ornate and done with an abundance of intricate detailing. the crucifix is very large. Very detailed, and made from sterling silver. the sacred heart medallion is also made from sterling and is very ornate. it has very large beads which are hand carved from solid light green jade stones and are very dense. they have a lovely polished finish and are two different sizes. the beads are connected with sterling chain links. it has acquired a wonderful patina from age and measures 23 inches long. it is overall in nice antique condition. Up for auction is a antique sterling silver Catholic rosary case. With the design by M. Jampolksy. The top of the case depicts Mother Mary and baby Jesus with the inscription of“Mater Dei Ora Pro Nobis” This is a beautiful piece and is hallmarked. The hallmark is very very small and hard to make out but I will do my best(had to use a jeweler loop and it was still hard to fully make out) The hall mark is a square, the top says Metal and the second word below it starts with what I belive is a G. Then below that are three symbols, the first looks like a stick figure deer followed by an upside down bell and then the letter“C” with an apostrophe. So it doesn’t say its sterling silver. Some really interesting pieces and this lot includes the following: A beautiful sterling silver pendant/medallion depicting Mary. It measures 1 1/8 height x 1/2 wide and weighs.3oz. On the back it is marked"925" 8 MC" which means it was made between 1944-1968 in the province of Macerata. It is also marked"Italy" Sterling" and is signed on the bottom. I can't read the artist's name. But is evident it is signed. The detail and hand grave etching in this piece is very impressive A blue crystal rosary that measures 21” long. Cross to Pendant is 6 ½” inches and necklace part is 14 ½” inches. ... moreIt is marked with a“M” with the cross above it. Cut glass rosary. But missing the cross. It measures 14” inches long and it is marked medugorje on the bottom Cut glass bead. Multi color sparkle. It measures 17 ¼” long, cross to pendant is 6” and above the pedant is 11 ¼” inches. It is marked Italy and looks sterling but can’t be sure. Blue square cut class rosary. But missing the cross. It measures 19” and on the back of Mary it is marked with the“M’ with the cross above it. It has 1830 marked on it. But its not of that time age. A cut glass pendant necklace. It is marked Italy and measures 11 ½” long, the back of pendant has a monk with a halo hugging a baby Unique red cut glass rosary. It measures 23 ¾ long and is marked Italy, cross to pendant is 8 ¾ and above pendant is 15” inches long. It has the“M’ with the cross above it as well. It is lined with the references. A cut glass rosary the bottom is disconnected from the necklace but an easy fix. It measures 22 ½” long. Cross to pendant is 7” and above pendant is 16” inches. This is a lovely sterling silver and crystal rosary bracelet. It is 6 1/2" long with a crucifix on one end and a charm of the Blessed Virgin on the other. It was my mother's so my guess is it is from the early 1900's to 1920 timeframe but that's only a guess.
