The crucifix cross is also some type of lucite. It is slightly curved to conform to Christ's body. The crucifix measures 1 3/4 inch long. The medal is the Sacred Heart on one side. And the Blessed Mother on the other. It is stamped, STERLING. The total length of the rosary is 18 1/2 inches. Please do look at the pictures again. I have not cleaned ... morethis piece, I would rather leave that decision to the new owner, and your prefered method of cleaning. The condition is good, it could be used as a gift. For sale is a beautiful rosary made with pearl looking glass beads and sterling silver crucifix. Central medallion and chain- both center medallion and crucifix are marked"sterling" When fully extended, rosary measures 22" long. Crucifix measures just over 1 1/2" long and center medallion is 1/2" long. Chain measures 32" from center medallion around back to center and measures 6 1/4" from the top of the center medallion to the bottom of the crucifix. Gorgeous detail on both the front and back of the center medallion. One minor link repair at the bottom of the center medallion- see pictures. A really nice piece in great condition! This beautiful handmade rosary is absolutely the highest quality with exquisite craftsmanship. This superb rosary is made of sterling silver throughout and has faceted emerald green crystal beads. The mystery beads are capped with tooled sterling silver. The rosary measures 22” and the crucifix is 2” long. The rosary has its original carrying pouch made of leather and lined with black velvet. The condition is very good to excellent and has bit of age related wear. As seen in the pictures. The condition of the rosary appears almost unused. French Antique Sterling Silver ROSARY Mother Of Pearl France Nacre
French antique rosary circa 1870-1880. From estate if a French Archbishop. I will provide the archbishops name to the new owner. This rosary is just beautiful. The beads are not too small for older fingers. Just the perfect size. The Ave beads measure 6mm and the pater beads measure 8mm and have Lacey sterling bead caps. Both are made from beautiful authentic mother of pearl. 18 1/2 inches long. Chain and all metal parts are sterling silver. I have been told that the shell that this mother of pearl rosary was made from is no longer harvested because it is an endangered species. This rosary.
