HUGE 28" ANTIQUE ROSARY ITALY STERLING SILVER & BRILLIANT CRYSTAL BEADS
I am offering on Buy It Now a rare antique rosary from Italy. This 28" long rosary has huge crystal beads that measure 1/2" across. They have a brilliant faceted cut with an aurora borealis finish. The intricate 2 1/4" long crucifix is marked Sterling Italy. The sterling devotional medal has a bas relief Jesus on one side and Our Lady Mary on the other side. The silver links are strong and there are no breaks. The beads show very little to no wear and I could find no chips. This old rosary is unique adn dazzling. this is a stunning high quality antique 19th century sterling silver prayer beads set. the crucifix is very dimensional and has a nice patina from age but can also be shined up if desired. it is marked"sterling" on the backside. the pendant in the middle of the beads is double sided and also very detailed. one side has Jesus and the other side has Mary both done in high relief. the side with Mary reads"Dater Dolor" the beads are all made from sterling silver and have larger single beads. all beads are held together by nice circular silver links. the piece is in great shape and measures 16 3/4 inches long. This is a very rare set of antique sterling silver and carved light green jade stone rosary prayer beads. it's very ornate and done with an abundance of intricate detailing. the crucifix is very large. Very detailed, and made from sterling silver. the sacred heart medallion is also made from sterling and is very ornate. it has very large beads which are hand carved from solid light green jade stones and are very dense. they have a lovely polished finish and are two different sizes. the beads are connected with sterling chain links. it has acquired a wonderful patina from age and measures 23 inches long. it is overall in nice antique condition. Is has a couple dings on the cross as shown in photos. it is also missing a couple beads but displays very well. We have here a Vintage Sterling Silver Rosary. It is a 5 decade rosary with beautiful cut blue glass beads. The cross. Medallion and links are all sterling. Back of cross is marked Sterling and AG makers mark The cross has brite-cuts in it and Jesus on the cross has nice detail. Links and ball spacers are sterling as well as the medallion. No missing beads. Some are chipped or have surface wear. None are sharp! Some appear to be chipped, but have waves in the glass, that was done when made in the mold.
