The painting itself probably dates to the 19th century or earlier and was done on silk. It has been placed on a paper and fabric scroll. The painting has wonderful colors and depicts a very detailed landscape scene with trees. Mountains, buildings, and figures walking about. A wonderful early picture. The silk painting measures 27.75 inches(70.5cm) x 19 inches(48.25cm) with the scroll measuring about 60 inches(152cm) tall. The silk painting in the center is in excellent condition as can be seen in the photos with only usual toning with age. The fabric scrolls does have some tears have been held together with tape.
