UP FOR BID- One Pair of Alaskan Hand Made/Carved Spruce wood SNOW GOGGLES! These are carved by Richard Wisecarver and are painted with hand made RED OCHRE paint and the ties are CARIBOU hand cut thongs. I use a Hand Adze and Crooked Knife to carve my goggles from Alaskan woods. These are what we used to protect our eyes before we had polaroid glasses to protect our eyes from the bright spring sun reflecting off of the snow. This pair is made in the traditional Alaskan style. I will mail them world wide.

Interesting wooden holder. Of what exactly. I don't know. There are numbers from 0 to 8 next to the holes. The holes are approx. 9/16" across and approx. 2 6/16" deep(a couple are a mm shorter) The"bit" holder(maybe good for drill bits) with the lid on is approx. 3 13/16" tall and the base is 2.75" in diam. ANTIQUE RED & GREEN PAINTED WOOD HOODED DOLL CRADLE - GREAT PAINT
Offered is an antique painted wood hooded DOLL cradle. The exterior is painted red and it has a"leathery" look. The interior is painted green. Almost all of the original paint is intact. The cradle is 19 1/4" long. 7 7/8" wide and about 13 1/2" high. The original rockers are present. The only flaw that I can see is a thin splint at the top of the hood. The hood has to be lifted for the wood to part. Note to International Buyers- Even though items are promptly shipped it can take up to 6 weeks for a package to arrive. Just under 2 1/2 inches deep and 7 1/4 inches in diameter the Canteen has"E W" and"I + G" carved into one face, wood pinned and nailed construction, very sound with a bit of mouse nibbling at the spout area. The Canteen had at one time what appear to have been tin straps for the shoulder strap, you can see the outline and nail holes where there were once 3. Getting harder to find, a good sound example. The khokhloma handicraft became to be known as early as the XVII century in Nizhegorodsky region. It received the appellation of khokhloma art from one of the villages which grew to become a trading post to which the local craftsmen brought their wares for sale. Up for bid is a vintage primitive paintbrush that has a turned wood handle and horsehair bristles. It measures approximately 12" long which includes the 4" long bristles. Frida Kahlo Mexican Folk Art Up for auction is a piece of Mexican folk art honoring artist Frida Kahlo. The artwork is a hollowed-out piece of wood with a loop on the back for hanging on the wall. It is arched like a stained glass window in a church and was probably made as a type of shrine or niche for The Day of the Dead. The inside of the wood has a blood red rim and an inner rim painted in gold paint. The image of Frida Kahlo appears to be a decal. Possibly a colored print cut out of a book or a magazine, glued to fit inside, and then lacquered so that it resembles a painting. This artwork is in good used condition. Some of the gold paint has flaked off. But overall appearance is still very striking and attractive, as was Frida Kahlo herself. This lovely Buddha measures 13.5" Tall and 5 1/2" at its Widest and a Depth of 4 1/2" at deepest. There is a round circle hook for hanging or you can sit it on any surface. I purchased this Buddha myself at an Antique Store and the owner himself told me he had purchased it at an estate sale in North Carolina where they were world travelers.
