Hi this auction is for ONE antique spindle/baluster. I have 20 to list. And I will combine. Please wait for an invoice if buying more that one.I will ship the best and most economical way. Phots number 2, 3, 4, show some ideas of what to do with the baluaters. I cut them down(using all the pieces) and I attached them to old pieces of wood. The wood I got from old pallets. Listed is a beautiful. Circa 1875, antique wood porch baluster, or railing piece. These balusters have many uses. The pieces are all the same, but if you turn them on different sides, you can achieve a different look. The approx size of each is: 20" tall, 2 3/4 on one top or bottom, and 2 7/8" on the other side. Antique 19th Thick Walled Wood Pantry Box Green Paint Copper Nails Firkin NR!!
Hello! Up for auction today is this gorgeous example of a 19th century pantry box or firkin. It has traces of green paint. And is white washed on the inside. The wall is 1/4 of an inch thick& it measures 12 inches across& 6.5 inches deep. The bentwood handle is attached by wooden pegs(one of the pegs was broken long ago but still functions perfectly) There is some loss around the rim of the lid. But does not interrupt the natural patina of this beautiful piece. Square head copper nails were used. Along with a few others, it almost looks like the others may have been added later, for strength i am guessing. The outside diameter of the all- brass head is 3 13/16" The threads are fine. And in my opinion are in good condition. The total length is 56" when folded up. I can find no makers mark on this heavy duty tripod. Only a couple of ISC identification marks(Iowa State College, no w the University of Iowa State) The nicely sculpted legs are approximately 1 3/4" thick at the broadest. And have all brass hardware other than the metal feet. One of the legs has a slight warp. There are of course chips. Age checks and dings as you would expect on a working tripod, and there is an old repair that was made with copper or brass rivets, but ... moreit is very solid and ready for work or display. 76 EARLY 19TH CENTURY SHUTTERS- ORIGINAL HARDWARE AND ORIGINAL MILK PAINT- C1820- C1840 We are pleased to offer you this wonderful collection of early 19th Century shutters from a Milton. Vermont Federal house. All of these shutters have original green milk paint and their original hardware. They were recently taken off a house on a repaint. Please note that at least 10 sets have original strap hinges and hand cut screws and are around the 1820 period with the balance of shutters having original hardware and paint. Dating from around the 1840’s. The later shutters were from an early addition put on the house around 1840. All of the shutters have wooden pins holding the full mortise and tenon construction. A big plus is that these shutters do not have multiple layers of paint. Making them even more desirable. Antique Primitive Farm Splint Wood Basket-2 Layers Old Green Paint
Up for auction is an antique. Primitive, wood splint farm basket. Excluding the handle, the basket measures 6 inches high, 13 1/2 inches wide, and 9 inches long. It has two old layers of green paint. You can see this best in photo#5. All of the photo's show some paint loss. If you look closely at photo's#6-10, you'll see that there's wire that's wrapped around the handle and through the center of the basket. I'm guessing that this was done for reinforcement. This is a very nice old wood three drawer childs chest. Apothecary or jewelry box. It has old white paint on it and scalloped edges on the bottom in the front and the sides as seen in the pictures. The box is in very good condition with no chips but the top does have a tight crack in the back. It also looks like the back of the box may have been replaced at one time. The chest or box measures 14 1/2" across the front, is 7 1/2" deep from the front to the back and stands 11 1/2" tall. The top of the box measures 15" long x 8" wide. All three drawers are all in very good condition and have old metal pulls. They are constructed by the corners being notched together and are ribbed in the front as seen in the pictures. Up for bids is this Antique 19thC Carved Wood Ship Builders Half Hull Boat Model w/ Original Paint. This model is made out of one solid piece of wood and has its original ox blood paint. The plaque that it is mounted to has a beveled edge and is original to the half hull but newer screws were added to reinforce it. This piece measures 19 15/16" in length. 5 1/2" in width, and 3" in depth. This piece is in excellent condition with no breaks or repairs and still retains its orginal finish and paint. It is very hard to find a half hull of this age with the original paint and finish. Vintage Cedar FISHING NET FLOAT White Paint Maritime Nautical Wood Buoy Boat
We live on an island in Puget Sound in Washington State. And many years ago, when the salmon were bountiful, a large number of fishing boats would ply the waters off the coasts of Washington, Oregon, and Alaska to seine for salmon. They would use wood fishing floats to buoy the nets, and this is one of those floats. Made of cedar, this float still retains a bit of the white paint it originally had. Nice decor item. Set of 2 Antique Clock Half Columns from Wood Works Clock Age: circa 1827 Size: 25 1/2" long x 1 5/8" wide(approx) Description: This is a pair of matching half columns from a Jerome& Darrow Wood Works clock. The columns are in very good shape with the exception of some minor scuffing. The finish is dark and the columns do retain the original tole stenciling. Which slightly faded, but still nice considering their age. There are no cracks, breaks or missing pieces and they are ready to install. For sale is a Vintage Ludwig Standard Snare numbered 16341 this item is Very Rare. The color is Blueish Black Wood Grain Paint job. This item is used and does show plenty signs of wear(with aim signs of what looks like some starting of rust in the chrome) and age but I am sure it can be cleaned up but it has plenty of life left in it. Also it seems to be missing one bolt to hold head on all others are on and work great.
