Originally from Shrine of St Jude Thaddeus. Chicago(Judging by the wall Illinois is abbreviated in the old way"Ill. and with no zip code. I'd say this predates the early 1960's) The Stations graphics appear to be printed on paper which has been affixed to the wood plaque and sealed over. Then the small wood Cross has been glued on top. May have originally been meant for a shut-in who could not go to the church to make the Stations. There's a lot of detail in the small pictures. And each station is named as well as numbered. The surface has some wear and scratching typical of an item this old. And there is wear to the wood at the corners of the plaque- but overall in pleasing vintage condition. The shrine is in color and is covered by a clear convex piece of glass. The 1" wide edge has cutwork of a dragon. A temple and an animal. This ashtray is in very good condition. Group 051613E In this photo postcard it looks like a Japanese shrine. Postcard is unused. some small watermarks but in overall good condition. Probably taken by a marine as a souvenir. The photo's in this group(approx 300 or so in all) were purchased at an estate sale and are original WWII era photos. A few of the photos are dated and the majority look to be 1944 or 1945. Some of these are on leave photos taken in the States of family. Kids, girlfriends, etc. Many of them are in theatre photos, taken on Hawaii, Okinawa and a few other places. Quite a few have the stamp"Passed by Naval Censor" There are some very nice fighter and bomber photos. Some of the photo's are stamped on the back VELOX, generally this dates a photo from the late 1930's to the early 1950's. The photo's are in good condition and range in ... moresize from 1x1 to about 5x7. Most have developed a slight curve which is pretty normal for an approximately 70 year old photo.
