Beautifully carved man walking with a bear cub. Great detail on the face! It measures 12.5" tall. 5" wide, 3.75" deep. There is a ding in the top of the hat. The base was broken then repaired. It is virtually undetectable from the front. It runs between the cubs legs and through its body. Look at the pictures carefully to see the crack. The pictures are my best description of this piece. His fur is finely outlined. As is the fur in his tail. The barrel around his neck is held up by carved straps and he also has a blanket strapped to his back. He is obviously carved to look like a rescue dog. He stands on a small platform that is 2/3" tall. The total height is 4 1/2" It is 2" wide and 6" deep(long) He is carved from lindenwood and stained a rich walnut brown. He is in excellent condition. The wood has a rich deep patina.
