A neat old printers drawer tray! This piece has more than 86 cubbies to hold all your typeset blocks or shadow box goodies. The tray is about 22" by 20" and has two holes that were used to attach to the wall. The tray has 4 metal hooks on one end. The drawer handle is made of metal and has a nice ornate design. The back of the tray has two metal plates for hanging with the handle at the bottom. In good used condition with patina. Some signs of age and use. A great piece to display your small collectibles.

For your consideration is a Wonderful Vintage Printers Tray with original Green layered paint. I see old blue paint underneath. Numbers 6& 30 are White stenciled on the front of the drawer. Cast Hamilton Stamped Drawer Pull still in place. Measures 32 1/4" x 16 1/2" with the pull 3/4" out from the front. 89 shadow boxes. See pictures 6 and 11 you can see part of 2 dividers are broke. I would just remove it and make a longer display area. I wiped this tray off. But I will let you detail it. Some dust and dirt on the back drop and in the corners. While I have lightly cleaned this drawer it is vintage and would need additional cleaning. This is little different with the two top rows being smaller.

These type cases have been in active use for around 50 years keeping the individual metal letters in order that are used in traditional letterpress printing and have stood the test of time well. They are in excellent original condition and have no damage. All of the dividers are in good order and have beautiful brass clips across the divider intersections that would polish up to a shine if desired. The wood has a rich natural patina and has been well cared for. You may want to give the compartments a dust/wipe out as the have been stood for sometime unused. There is minor wear to the wood in some places and some light pen marks where the compositor has marked a compartment with a letter but nothing above and beyond what you can see on ... morethe images. They are a fine example of printing heritage. Wonderful Vintage Hamilton Wood Printers Typeset Drawer Tray Shadow Box- 89 Slots. 32" X 17" with Hamilton handle. I bought this to hold my collections of Lego mini figurines. We have decided to move& won't have room for it in our new home. It looks really nice. I cleaned it with lemon oil, then I finished it all over with Danish oil. It has really neat shadowing in the slots where the print tiles must have been setting for years. There are some hand written letters on some of the slots. It has the metal on the drawer front& 2 silver metal bars on the sides, these frame it very nicely, but also make it quite heavy. Boxed it weights 10 LBS. Great vintage condition. Here's a great-looking. Antique, printers type tray in excellent condition! It has 88 slots and is perfect for use as a shadow box to display miniatures. Also known as a California job case, it's made completely of wood and has been cleaned and restored front and back. There's no worries about getting your wall dirty and it has hanging hardware already installed. It measures 32 inches by 16 3/4 inches and is 1 1/2 inches wide.
