It looks to me as if the original owner(or second owner) took the front label and holder off the front of the drawer(where the pull is) and moved it to the side for some reason. Wonderful Vintage Hamilton Wood Printers Typeset Drawer Tray Shadow Box- 89 Slots. 32" X 17" with Hamilton handle. I bought this to hold my collections of Lego mini figurines. We have decided to move& won't have room for it in our new home. It looks really nice. I cleaned it with lemon oil, then I finished it all over with Danish oil. It has really neat shadowing in the slots where the print tiles must have been setting for years. There are some hand written letters on some of the slots. It has the metal on the drawer front& 2 silver metal bars on the sides, these frame it very nicely, but also make it quite heavy. Boxed it weights 10 LBS. Great vintage condition. Here for sale is a VINTAGE Hamilton type drawer often used for a shadow box. This drawer measures about 32" long and 16 5/8 Inches wide and 1 1/2 inches tall. It has a wooden back. I see some damage to four of the wood slot dividers near the back of the drawer as shown in the photos. There is some corner and edge wear. Light staining or light bumping commensurate with age and use, as shown in photos. I am selling many printer drawers and all appear to have been in actual use by a printer and may have printer dust and other remnants from use. This is a beautiful old Hamilton Type-Set Drawer. It measures approx 16 1/2 inches by 31 1/4 inches. The handle is black metal marked"Hamilton" The end of the drawer is metal and a lovely army green. There are 89 spaces in this drawer in varying sizes. Would be great to store your needles. Bobbins and thread! This drawer has a tiny knick spot in the wood(see pictures) Can easily be smoothed out with a touch of sandpaper. I have more of these drawers. I did not clean any of these drawers. Just left them the way they were when I found them. They still had little metal type-set letters in them! Their new owner can clean them as per their favorite method. FOR AUCTION IS THIS VINTAGE PRINTERS TRAY. BOUGHT FROM AN ESTATE IT MEASURES 32 BY 17 INCHES. THERE IS THE HAMILTON NAME ON IT AND IT IS VERY OLD AND HAS NICE PATINA. IT IS A NICE VINTAGE PIECE AND ALTHOUGH IT'S IN GREAT CONDITION BUT IT IS NOT PERFECT AND SHOWS SOME USE. IT HAS ONE BROKEN SLAT WHICH YOU CAN SEE IN MY PICTURES. Set of 2 Antique Hamilton Printers Typeset Wood Drawers 89 Slots 31 1/4 X 16 1/2
This is a beautiful SET OF TWO old Hamilton Type-Set Drawers. Each measures approx 16 1/2 inches by 31 1/4 inches. The handle is black metal marked"Hamilton" The end of the drawer is metal and a lovely army green. There are 89 spaces in each drawer in three sizes. Would be great to store your needles. Bobbins and thread! There are three sizes of"slots" in each drawer: 1" X 1 7/8" 1" X 4" 2 1/4" X 4" One drawer has a tiny knick spot in the wood(see pictures) Can easily be smoothed out with a touch of sandpaper. I did not clean any of these drawers. Just left them the way they were when I found them. They still had little metal type-set letters in them!
