Wonderful Vintage Hamilton Wood Printers Typeset Drawer Tray Shadow Box- 89 Slots. 32" X 17" with Hamilton handle. I bought this to hold my collections of Lego mini figurines. We have decided to move& won't have room for it in our new home. It looks really nice. I cleaned it with lemon oil, then I finished it all over with Danish oil. It has really neat shadowing in the slots where the print tiles must have been setting for years. There are some hand written letters on some of the slots. It has the metal on the drawer front& 2 silver metal bars on the sides, these frame it very nicely, but also make it quite heavy. Boxed it weights 10 LBS. Great vintage condition. The drawer is in Good condition. There is some corner and edge wear. Light staining or light bumping commensurate with age and use, as shown in photos. This is a beautiful old Hamilton Type-Set Drawer. It measures approx 16 1/2 inches by 31 1/4 inches. The handle is black metal marked"Hamilton" The end of the drawer is metal and a lovely army green. There are 89 spaces in this drawer in varying sizes. Would be great to store your needles. Bobbins and thread! This drawer has a tiny knick spot in the wood(see pictures) Can easily be smoothed out with a touch of sandpaper. I have more of these drawers. I did not clean any of these drawers. Just left them the way they were when I found them. They still had little metal type-set letters in them! Their new owner can clean them as per their favorite method. There is no breakage so I find no repairs. It is 32-1/4 by 16-1/2 inches. The bottom is also in excellent condition with all original nailing. The pull handle is brass and HAMILTON is embossed nicely. There is a slit on the front to describe the contents[I have placed a paper in the slit to show you] of the draw and also there are two decorated hanging hooks on the front of the drawer. This typeset printer tray drawer is different than most! The two side rails are 5" longer than the tray. One side rail has a drawer lock mechanism on the end of the drawer that keeps it from falling out of the desk when you pull it all the way out(see photo) The metal mechanism is spring loaded and may be brass? Vintage Wooden Printer's Tray Drawer Typeset made by Hamilton. It measures 32"X 16 1/2" and has 82 Compartments. Four of the compartments have the divider remove.probably to make room for larger item for displaying miniatures. It is in good vintage condition. It has usual wear and one splinter of wood missing near drawer pull. It has a metal drawer pull marked"Hamilton" Back has wire for hanging. Some pictures were taken with flash and others not which accounts for difference in color of wood. Buyer pays shipping cost for 11 pounds oversize box.

Nice looking vintage Hamilton printers drawer. Just found in original condition in the rafters of an old estate. The metal handle had been covered with a plastic insert tab so it is nice and shiney! One small cubby has a bottom piece that only goes half way back. Don't know if that is a chip or by design. 89 slots. The largest is 6 1/4" x 2 1/4" The smallest is approx 1 1/8 x 1 3/4" Fiberboard original back. Will need hardware if hanging is intended. I am happy to answer any questions and thanks for looking.

Dings, or repairs, though it still shows a little grime and wear from handling, age and use. All sides and corners are firm and secure in place. Original black lettering to help organize the linotype letters is still clear and distinct on each compartment. I estimate this drawer is circa 1930 in origin.
