The images are under a layer of aquamarine blue green enamel. On the verso of the Virgin Mary center medal is a small round plastic capsule that used to contain water drawn from the miraculous spring in the Grotto of Massabielle in the Sanctuary of Our Lady of Lourdes. Which I estimate dates back to the 1930s, required minimal repair to be restored. The details- the chain was broken in one place and I had to find a close match in my vintage supplies to replace the chain. The chain. I must admit, is not an exact match but is the right length and color. The slight difference is only noticeable under magnification. Please view the close up photo of the beads provided to inspect my repair job. The lovely purple beads are 6mm in ... moresize and GLASS. The vintage parts appear to be brass and are in good condition. The crucifix is marked on back with a diamond shaped"box" with 10-JRF-60 inscribed inside the"box" Photo provided of the back of the parts The crucifix measures 1-7/8" long. The lovely vintage brass center has a picture of Jesus on one side(Sacred Heart of Jesus) and a profile of Mary on the other side.
