The length is nearly 5 3/8" the diameter of the cap is 7/16" The 14K gold nib is smooth writing, flexible and fine/medium. It is imprinted: WATERMAN'S- IDEAL- NEW YORK- 2" All hard rubber and metal surfaces are smooth and shiny with no cracks, gouges, chew marks or engraved names. The color is dark black with only faint traces of typical hard rubber oxidation. The barrel imprint is excellent, complete and reads: PAT'D 1884, MAY 23, 1899- WATERMAN'S FOUNTAIN- PEN- N.Y. U.S.A. Good lot of junk gold bearing watch case parts and bands. As seen in the pictures. They weigh about 155 grams total on my scale, The watch case parts are only the gold bearing bezels, having the case backs and crystals taken off so as to not add to the weight. Some bands may still be useable, while most are broken or in parts. The straight bands on the right have have the gold bearing parts on top and the rest is made in stainless steel. This is a mix of gold filled and gold plated parts. Some parts not marked with content were 10K acid tested in one spot each and this test does not tell if the parts are gold filled or rolled gold plated, but just that there is gold content. Expect wear thru as they are used. These parts are not pure gold. The sale is final with no returns. The pitcher has about 65% gold. Textured glass on the lower half. Pretty cool. Looks frosted frozen. The glasses are in great condition. Gold on them is 85% No cracks or chips/ chiggers. But does have some light usage marks that is expected. Pitcher stands 10 1/2" inches tall x 5 1/4" inches wide at the bottom. The glasses are 4 3/4" inches tall x 2 9/16" wide. I am guessing this set from the 1960's but I am probably wrong. I have looked all over the internet trying to find another like this and I cannot find anything!
