Hundreds of multi-color solid glass fringe beads are woven into the branches and twigs. The end of each twig is hammered flat to look like a leaf. The roots of the tree are bound onto the round solid wood base using a bonding agent mixed with sand and small pebbles. The sea sand and pebbles are painted in yellows and greens using India ink. Which will not fade and gives the appearance of moss covered earth. The back of the base has a saw tooth self leveling hanger for easy wall hanging. Check out my! If the sculpture is 8" x 8" x 8" I wire the tree onto the inside bottom of a box that is a least 10" x 10" x 10" The tree sculpture is secured into the center on the bottom of this inner box so that none of the branches ever touch any of the sides or inside top of this box. The inner box is then sealed and put into another larger outer box and bubble wrap is placed around the sides, top and bottom of the box with the tree sculpture in it. I have been told by some of my customers that boxes have arrived upside down and battered, however, due to the cushioning around all the sides of the inner box, the sculpture arrives safe and sound. I have shipped thousands of tree sculptures of all sizes, as far away as Japan and India, and I have never had any problems or any sculpture returned or damaged. Fenton Beaded Melon Silvercrest Vase 4" Round Top Crimp or Pie Crimp Circa late 1940's into very early 1950's'Silvercrest' is the longest running glassware line that Fenton made. It started in the late 1930s and continued into 1999 in one shape or form. This little 4" vase. However, is one of the harder to find items in the Silvercrest line for a vase. This vase was made 4 different crimped tops, one like is shown which is the round top or otherwise called"Pie Crimp" the Triangle Tri crimped top shape, a JITP(Jack in the Pulpit) top, and a square shaped. Again, so there is no confusion, this one is the Round-top crimp shaped vase we are selling on this sale. Made in the 1940's or early 1950's, is my guess. 1990s TURQUOISE & 925 Sterling Silver Beaded Round CLIP EARRINGS - Southwestern
For sale is a very pretty pair of round clip-on earrings. These earrings have sizable turquoise pieces mounted in them. As far as I can tell this is NOT imitation turquoise; the stones are a rich color of blue with thin silver veins running through them which is not a typical feature of imitation stones. It is a type of turquoise which I believe is of Asian origin. The clip earrings are marked"NF 925" on the back. I have no idea who or what NF is; some people online are saying it means"Nickel Free" I have seen NF and"THAI" or"THAILAND" 925 MANY times. So I can assume at least that these earrings are of Thai origin and that NF is the manufacturer or importer. This wonderful vintage and classic 1940's bronze beaded round box handbag features a beaded 1.5 inch wide strap handle and one beaded gather on each strap to limit the travel of the lid. The purse incorporates beautiful iridescent carnival glass beads that glisten in the light and complement so many colors. BRONZE IS THE NEW BLACK! The interior features brown satin lining that is only just beginning to show its 75 years of age. A beautiful 5-1/2" 8 leaf flower with two leaves is applied int he same bronze glass beads. The compartment of the purse measures approx. 5" deep by 4.5" wide. It has an approximately 7" handle drop(underside of strap to top of the lid) The handbag does not have a designer or maker's label. The purse is in near mint condition on the exterior with only a couple of missing beads at the strap ... morethat is attached to the lid and rides on the carry strap. The interior lining is clean and in very good condition but does show a little bit of discoloration which does not show up in the pictures. Age discoloration on the mirror mounted on the interior of lid and it appears to not be the original mirror(may have been replaced) The satin that belongs on the interior of the lid between the mirror and the lip of the lid is missing. My searches through thousands of purses reveals there is not one similar purse available with this intricate of detail. My 73 year old mother and I found this stored in her cedar chest and she believes it to have been her mother's purse from the high society days just before World War II. Christmas Tree Skirt or Round Table Cloth-Quilted, Beaded, Sequined, Lace-Lined
This is a 54" round + 3" of lace round table topper or can be cut to be a tree skirt. This started out as a Christmas tree skirt kit. Picture 2 shows the outline in the center to be cut out for the tree. My mothers friend. Who was wonderfully talented with hand work, added 3 layers of lace(pic 8) and lined the back with a green taffeta. pic 3) She then embellished parts of the entire piece with sequins and beads and metallic leaves. Gold braid, and pearls. This table topper was on my mom's round oak table in the front hall for many years at Christmas. It is in perfect condition. There is a seam that runs across the middle so if you wanted to cut it for a tree skirt it would be easy enough to do. I don't have a round table so I can't use it. Clean and from a smoke free home.
