Wood Carved Faces on Walking Sticks, SET of 2, Possibly carved by Junior Cobb
These 2 Carved Walking Sticks were found in my Father's estate. He and my Mom made many trips to the Ozarks and purchased carvings from Junior Cobb before Junior Cobb became so famous. These are not signed so I cannot guarantee they were carved by him but they do look very similar to other walking sticks he carved. The faces are interesting and look very"Ozark Mountainish" One face carving is approx. 7 in. long and the other is approx. 6 in. long. The sticks were difficult to photograph but as you can see they are not perfectly straight which adds to their charm. Because they are made from real sticks. They do not lay flat either. Would be a fun addition to a wood carving collection.
