Measuring ... more12.5 inches high and 12.5 inches in diameter across the top. It has four beautiful carved panels in between each stylized and carved leg. There is a half pea shaped carved border around a pink marble centre which is in good condition with no damages. The wood which I believe is rosewood has a lovely patina which only comes with age. In good condition there is an age crack to the wood on a foot as shown and a loose panel between two of the feet which is just a loose joint. I have taken many images and these are a true reflection of the condition of this wonderful example of antique Chinese carving. Large 19th Century Chinese signed brass two handled censer with stand. Part of a small collection currently listed& recently acquired from a private estate. A heavy brass censer with character marks to base. Condition is very good with the usual age related surface use marks. It has not been cleaned or polished for many years. The two bamboo design side handles have both been soldered back on at some time in the past. One is still loose on one side but the whole censer can still be lifted& held using the handles, the deer finial has bent ears& it's horns are missing. Despite the handle repairs& slight losses to the finial it is still a very impresive piece of considerable size& stature. Beautiful shape& form& excellent patina to the metal. A Very Fine Quality Chinese Rosewood Stand. Made of the finest quality hardwood with very fine workmanship. Very unusual shape. I do not know the original use of this object. I think it is a display stand. But do not know for what kind of object. It must have been an important and precious object. Because the wood alone was expensive. Size: 34 x 9 x 9.5 cm. The flat wood part is 2,7 cm thick, the feets 1 cm high are carved from one piece. The round part is 6 cm high and 8 cm diameter. Weight 990 gram. Dating: late 19th/ early 20th century. The Pine Tree spinach green Jade Foliage and Amber Jade/Agahte trunk, and a large Lavender Chrysanthemum and spinach jade for foliage. Large Chinese Hardwood Display Table/ Stand Late 19th c
This 5 legged 6 lb. pierced and carved display table/stand is a quality hardwood. Many pictures have been taken to show the design and the defects which do not distract from the stand since they are mostly underside. This stand is two tiered- the 9 2/8" top sits on a 11" pierced and carved lower tier sitting on five 6 6/8" legs which end with a upturned design. The overall height of the table/stand is 9 6/8" The piece speaks for itself. It has QUALITY!
