The socks have a few very minor spots of wear, and the shoes are in better than often found condition with minor wear as expected from age and use. A WONDERFUL FIND! The bed is about 20 inches long; about 9.75 inches wide; about 8 inches tall(at head board)we think walnut. But cannot tell with certainty. The pieces are loose, and could be reglued. The foot board is missing. The old string support for the mattress still works fine. There are little marks and scratches here and there, but considering it was crafter well before the Civil War it is in impressive condition. The mattress(with mattress cover Mary made) fits the bed the bed nicely. Soiled. Stains a few tiny holes. The pillow is soiled& stained, but in remarkably good shape. The comforter is also soil& stained…and has little feathers trying to protrude! An extra pillow case and sheet are also soiled and stained, with a few little holes in sheet. The sheet has in black script"Georgianna Y(we think) Lennox A. 2" on it. One sheet is very white, and unsoiled compared to the other items of bedding. It looks newer than all the rest.
