T he mirr or has a little push in the monogram area. The good thing is that it is easy to slip the mirror out and strai ghten the dent from the inside. Ca 1920's It is in beautiful condition. There is amazingly only a couple tiny dings in whole set. T he original beveled mirror is very nice. Some very faint spotting and several marks in silvering. The mirror is 12" x 7 1/4" The brush is 9 1/2 x 3 1/4" and the bristles are in excellent condition, not falling out, solid. The comb is 8 x 1 7/8 and the teeth are excellent, no cracking or brittleness to material. The clothing brush was lose and someone glued it to silver. Mostly likely became loose from wood shrinkage. The meltdown value of the silver is approximately $150. The set is too nice to scrap for silver value. Insurance is ... moreincluded in shipping cost. The pattern on the mirror is slightly worn off on the handle. The mirror itself has some small black spots. The pattern on the brush is slightly worn where the handle meets the body. There is one lid that does not have the jar. The pattern on this lid shows some wear.And the background cream color also worn off in a couple of areas. Powder puff jar in very nice condition.And the powder puff itself has a handle that matches the jar.This is also in great shape. There is a little discoloration ... moreon the floor of the powder puff container. Large comb has a couple of the tips of teeth broken off. And the teeth are quite brittle. This auction features a gorgeous 3 Piece Hammered Sterling Silver Vanity or Dresser Set made by Watson. All three pieces are in wonderful condition with only a couple of minor dings. One in the upper right hand corner of the mirror and the same in the upper right hand corner of the brush. None of the pieces are monogrammed. All three pieces have the Watson Hallmark. Vintage Sterling Silver Vanity Set: Mirror, Brush and Comb (Saart Bros.)
This is a beautiful sterling silver vintage vanity set from the early 1920-30's. All three pieces are marked sterling and the comb has the symbol for the Saart Bros. company. It has a beautiful design and there are some age related dings. Dents and scratches from usual wear. The celuloid on the brush is damaged in the upper left corner but the brush bristles are still very tight and usable. The comb is in very good shape and can also be pulled out and changed if desired. The mirror has a"fog" to it. I have tried to capture all the condition issues in the pictures so please look carefully. This set is almost 75-100 years old so there will be condition issues but they really don't detract from its beauty and craftsmanship. Vintage Czechoslovakia 1930 -Silver- Comb, shaving kit and mirror perfume bottle
I'm selling this for my father-in-law and I believe that it is shaving mirror. Comb and some sort of cologne or perfume bottle, all made of.900 silver. He says it weights 212 gram all together, silver and comb mirror etc, so I'm unsure about how much silver is actually in it. The silver is extremely beautiful and looks to be hand crafted. He also thinks that it was made/completed on the 29 of July in 1930 in Czechoslovakia. He's from Slovakia and has had it a very long time. Feel free to email me if you have any questions. For auction is an exquisite Sterling Silver 3 Piece Vanity Set by Gorham in original case. This set was purchased at an Estate Auction and has been very lightly cleaned for the pics. It is pattern#23 with heavy floral carving. The mirror is appx 9.5” x 4.5” inside with the brush appx. 8.25" x 3” and the comb 7.75" long. All three pieces are stamped Gorham. Sterling, 23. This set is not monogrammed and in perfect used, displayed condition. I did not see any dings, breaks or scuffs. I don't detect any, but I would imagine if there were any light scratches, they would buff out when polished. I did find three hair brush bristles out of place(sticking out to the side) No teeth are missing on the comb but four teeth are slightly curved. Up for bid is a really cool vintage gold tone mirror. Brush, comb matching set in original box. The name is vogue. The mirror and brush have matching gold handles with gold rim around each and what I would call a metallic light blue with gold in it for the top half of brush and mirror. The comb had gold tone edging.The mirror measures approx. 12" brush approx. 10 1/2" and comb approx. 7 1/2" They are in wonderful condition with exception of a few bristle have become bent as it has been stored in this box for a very long time. This is a fantastic repousse style Gorham sterling silver dresser set. Which includes a mirror, brush and comb. I believe the pattern is Buttercup. All three pieces are marked Gorham Sterling and have a 23 added. This set is in very good used condition. The mirror measures 9 5/8" x 5 3/8" The brush measures 8 3/8" by 2 7/8" and the comb measures about 7 5/8" long. There is a small ding in the center back of the mirror and both sides of the handle have dents and the mirror has a small scratch and a small dark spot as shown. They could use a good polish. The imperfections are minor and it is still a beautiful set. The brush and comb are very good with minor wear from use as shown. This beautiful vintage 1950's sterling silver set is made by Saart Brothers. The set was received as a college graduation present in 1952. It has been stored for many years and stored properly. There is no damage to any of these pieces. No dings. Dents, or deep scratches. There ar e tiny surface scratches that may polish out. I have not cleaned this set. Rather leaving it up to the buyer to clean it to their liking. Since this silver is very soft. Most sets are dinged and dented and this one is not all banged up. The mirror is 13 inches long and 4 inches wide. The brush is 10 inches long and 3 inches wide and still has the words Nylon an d USA showing between the brush bunches. This appears to not have been used or used very very little. The comb is 7 1/2 inches long and 1 1/2 inches wide. The Covered dish is 3 inches in dia meter. Welcome to my Auction! This auction is for a vintage dresser/vanity brush. Mirror and comb set in a gold color Mirror is 6" round. 10" Long with handle and approx 1/4" thick. It has a heavy beveled mirror that has several scratches in the mirror surface. The back also has some discolor areas, appears to have stained vintage plastic. Brush frame is a oval with what appears to be natural bristles. The brush measures 9"L x 2 1/4"W x 1 1/2" thick. It too has some light brown colored stain on the back of the brush end that has penetrated the surface of the vintage plastic. Bristles appear to all be intact. The comb is 8" long 1 3/4" wide and approx 1/4" thick. It has some white stains on the top and the tip is broken off one end. The comb and brush bristles look like an early plastic and the comb can be removed from the silver comb holder(in case you ever needed to replace it) In excellent condition, a little light rubbing to the brush back but all still fully silvered. This 3 piece set consists of a mirror. Brush and comb. The mirror is approximately 12 ½ inches long and 4 ¼ inches at its widest. The mirror itself is beveled glass. The ... morebrush is approximately 9 ¾ inches long and 2 ¾ inches at its widest. The comb is approximately 6 ½ inches long and just under 1 ½ inches tall. Each piece has an empty cartouche, no monograms. As you can see in picture 12, the combined weight of these pieces is 465 grams. As to exactly how much of this weight is sterling silver, I can’t really say. The condition of this set is quite good. All pieces are hallmarked Webster Company Sterling(see pictures) There is some light spotting of the silvering on the mirror. Mostly in the bottom bevel area.
