Presented is a very fine Chinese oriental hand painted silk and embroidered fan. This beautiful fan has a great amount of work that has gone into this piece. The fabric portion of the fan appears to be silk and entirely hand painted. There are two women who are finely detailed and portrayed absolutely beautifully. They are surrounded by landscape and wisteria blossoms. Many of the blossoms are hand embroidered with silk thread. The fan guards are made of wood and are also entirely hand carved. The fan base is also made of hand pierced wood. These little pieces of pierced wood are also each decorated with hand painted gold decoration. Antique Chinese velvet embroidered shoes slippers 1920's
This pair of antique Chinese velvet embroidered slipper shoes dates from the 1920's. They are all hand stitched and made of black velvet with black embroidery work and black silk trim piping along the top. These slipper style slip-on shoes have sturdy. Thick, stitched soles and are fully lined in linen. The shoes measure nearly 10 inches long from toe to heel and 3 inches across at the widest part. Except for the inside discoloration and stains, they're in good wearable condition and have been gently worn. These are a beautiful piece of antique Chinese textile art and would make for a wonderful display piece.
