It is about 13.4 cm or about 4 7/8" tall(not including the base) About 50 grams(not including the base) It is very elegantly carved. Not over done like the more recent examples. It is in good condition as shown- the item in her left hand looks like it is missing its end. And there is a natural hole in the coral on her left cheek that is full of dirt or similar. Mrs. Mary Morrison. Was a collector, former museum curator and lecturer on Asian art at the University of British Columbia, Canada. She also played an important role in creating the Canadian Society for Asian Arts which got its start in Vancouver in 1968. Over her lifetime, she collected a fabulous collection of Chinese antiques, mostly snuff bottles, and porcelain. ... moreMost of her pieces were collected between the 1940's- 70's in England and North America. The Robe has wide sleeves that can be turned back to show a blue silk cuff embroidered with flowers and butterflies- Please see photograph Due to the age of the robe there are signs of age related wear and deterioration to the silk. The toggle fasteners have deteriorated and need replacing. There are 3 gilt metal toggles with a material toggle at the neck the toggle fastener loops have deteriorated and need replacing. Antique Chinese Porcelain Underglaze Blue Ginger Jar Early Qing Dynasty Qianlong
WELCOME TO MY PAGE UP FOR AUCTION: ANTIQUE CHINESE BLUE& WHITE PORCELAIN GINGER JAR EARLY QING DYNASTY The featured item represents an antique Chinese porcelain ginger jar that measures approximately 6" tall. 2 1/2" in diameter at the lips and 5 1/4" at the base foot rim. The jar is decorated with hand painted under the glaze cobalt blue scenes with water. Boats, mountains and primitive buildings. The neck of the piece is shaved off the glaze, the foot rim is also unglazed. Everything else, the lips, interior, exterior and the base are glazed. There are no marks. The jar was most likely produced in Jingdezhen during the Qianlong reign but is it possible to date to Jiaqing or Daoguang period. The item comes in overall good condition for its age. As pictured. There is no lid for the jar. Photo#3 is showing the inside where ... moreyou can see the condition of the glaze on the bottom. Photos# 10& 11 are revealing the base where also glaze cracks and chips can be observed. Chips on the foot rim as well. Photo#9 is showing a chipped piece off the inside of the mouth. The exterior has no major cracks or other surface damages but as well is showing quite of age and wear. Expect some natural and firing flaws like rust spots, firing imperfections, glaze pin holes and cracks etc. I would say all of the above is quite normal for the age of the piece, plus it give the jar a nice antique appearance. Antique Chinese Bronze Emperor& Empress Qing Dynasty Figurines on Dragon Thrones These are very old bronze figures found at a very nice Estate. The son was there at the estate and told me his father and mother acquired these on a trip to China in the 1950's. They may be older than that but i'm guessing that's about when they were made. The Emperor is approx 7" tall and the Empress is approx 7½" tall. The are very detailed pieces sitting in chairs with the legs showing faces and the arms are dragons. They do show age and you can bits of corrosion in certain areas. I left the patina as is. As I feel it brings much character to the pieces. DESCRIPTION Set of 5 Antique Qing Dynasty Mandarin hat buttons in inlaid mother of pearl wooden stand. Box. Buttons were worn according to the rank of imperial court officals as ornamentation on top of hats. Finials are made of clear rock crystal. Blue Peking glass, copper, pink Peking glass and cobalt blue glass. I included 12 pictures so you can have better idea about the condition. Please inspect them to have a better idea as they are part of the description. 4 of them have signatures or numbers in chinese on the bases where i included pictures as well. The bronz finial has 3 small dings and clear rock crystal has 2 very small scratches. The other three finials look to have no issues. The box has some lose of inlaid mother of pearl where they shown in the pictures. They are slightly different in their decoration with one lid having a yellow ground and the other blue in color. Both are decorated with deer egrets or cranes. Trees, foliage and other reticulated designs. Both are stamped on the bottom with a square Chinese red Tongzhi mark.
