Here's a Wonderful Antique c irca 1900's Set of 6 Figural Sterl ing Silver Chinese Export Figural P lace Card Holders These Place Card Holders are part of my mothers' estate. She was a missionary in China. And left to return to the United States in 1917. Antique Chinese Export Silver Child's set of cuterly/ flatware. Knife. Fork, spoon. Made in Canton, China, 1825-1875. Measurements: knife 7 1/4 inches long; fork a little over 6 inches long; spoon 6 3/8 inches long. Weigh 140.3grams. Stunning workmanship on this set of knife. Fork, spoon. Made smaller than typical cutlery/flatware in order to better fit a child's hand. Similar sets were made later on by Tiffany& Co. and other makers. The tops of each piece have fabulous repousse work. Very much in the European style- particularly Scottish theme of thistles and foliage run up the handles of each piece. Rare 19th Century Blue and White Canton Chinese Export Syllabub Cup and Lid with extra bonus second lid. This is a fabulous find and to be in such great condition for its Antique age. The footed cup has a twisted strap handle and a wonderful berry finial motif on lid. It has a gorgeous and pleasing motif and Chinese Scenic detail. It has a great glaze and the beauty of the deep blue color is a sight to behold. It has a very slight flake on the edge of the lid hardly noticeable and a small chip and small hairline on the inside rim of cup. All in All it does not detract from it's beauty. This beautiful antique Chinese export silver galley tray is by the noted silversmith Wang Hing. It dates from circa 1890. The tray would polish up nicely. However we have chosen to let it retain its aged patina. It is in great antique condition with no dings or dents and minimal surface wear or scratches. When looking at the tray from the side. There is some waviness to the top surface. It is not dramatic. Nor does it detract at all from the beauty of this tray. It is marked with“WH” 90” and Chinese characters. This circular tray has a reticulated and lipped border that is detailed with bamboo leaves. The hand chased stippled background of the top surface is engraved and worked with bamboo shoots and leaves that arise from what looks to be a stylized rock formation. The tray has 3 bun feet. Hand painted ... morewith the classic blue& white landscape Nanking is known for. This inkwell set is very rare. Each piece measures between 2 1/8” and 2 ¼” square by 2 ¾” tall. The inkwell is 3 ¼” tall including the original liner and cover. The holes in the top of the sander were hand done and the only problem is a small chip to the edge of one corner. The Inkwell is perfect, but the cover has a rim chip and the inkwell liner has a broken rim. Luckily the piece chip was found on the inside and it fits nicely. If you are a collector of 18 th century Nanking Porcelain then you already know just how rare this inkwell set is. Even so. We are listing it without any reserve. I do not think this is Sterling Silver but most likely a lesser grade of Silver such as coin silver or German silver. It is not marked for metal content so I cannot be certain of that.
