This is an old antique 19th Century beautifully carved pair of wood high relief pierced panels from high end estate. One panel is 16 1/4" by 6" and has a battle scene and other panel is 16 1/4" by 6 1/4" and has a 11/4" hook on top and it is a celebration scene. The celebration scene panel has black enamel paints chips on top left and bottom right corners. The battle scene panel on the back side corners look different like it came off of something. Offered for sale is this exquisite antique Chinese framed carved wood and bone panel. It was probably from a cabinet. The piece depict raised carved wood and bone birds, butterflies and flowers. The frame measures 12-1/8" x 5-3/8" x 3/8"thickness and the inside panel is 10-5/8" x 3-3/4" It is heavy for its size, it weighs 11.6 oz(329 gm) The carved inlaid wood seems boxwood. Don't know what kind of wood to made of the frame and inside panel, both have beautiful grain. The white carving seems like bone or other material. The piece is in excellent condition except one bird's beak missing, and the frame have been re-glued, please see picture#10, but nothing wrong on front. A beautiful Chinese enamelled metal spoon. I think the flamboyant style is Straits Chinese and it probably dates from the late 19thC to the Early 20th Century. A wonderful design of pink flowers. Green leaves and a butterfly on a yellow background with a vibrant Duck Egg blue edge and reverse. There are no marks on it. In very good condition with one hairline crack inside the spoon and 2 or 3 tiny. Tiny mini chips around the edges. The piece also has cobalt blue friezes painted with golden details. The base and the top of the piece have French sterling silver mounts( 950/1000 purer than Sterling) partially gilded following the attractive hexagonal form of the porcelain, the silver mount of the base is decorated with laurel leaves and tine fruits and has a natural ring to pass the wire. It dates from the early 19th Century and measures approximately 4 + ¾ inches in overall height. 7 + 1/8 inches long, and 4 + 3/8 inches wide. It is in excellent condition with the exception of some staining, minor glaze wear on the top of the finial, a small chip on the nose of one boar head and the other boar head is missing the tops of it’s ears. This is an absolutely gorgeous antique early 19th century Chinese brise fan It is a Canton export unusually hand painted and pierced cow bone Each stave is hand painted in gouache with flowers. Fruit, birds& butterflies. There is some chipping as can be observed in the photos. The fan needs to be remounted, the guardsticks are beautifully detailed with marcasite but may not be the originals. The rivet is intact and the loop is made of silver. The ribbon needs to be replaced but other than that this fan is in good but time worn condition. A superbly crafted piece of history. Please study the photos! They have nice color and are highlighted with gold gilt. The sauce boat has a nice form with a twisted handle. They date from the early 19th Century. The sauce boat measures approximately 3 + 1/8 inches high, 7 + ½ inches at it’s longest point, and 3 + ¾ inches at it’s widest point. The under dish measures approximately 1 inch high, 7 + 1/8 inches long, and 4 + ¾ inches at it’s widest point.
