She would be 111 years old if still alive and my mom says she got it when she was in her early 40's, so it is approx. 70 years old. Selling this for a friend of mine. Took it to a local fur expert for examination as I am not really familiar with fur of most kinds. She stated that this is a male ranch mink- full pelts. It is in pretty good condition considering the age- it was not cared for properly. Conditioned, etc. The wear is at the neckline and a small bit on the shoulders. It was folded for many years and that has resulted in a couple of'mashed' spots that should lift eventually. There are no labels or pockets and the lining is excellent. I have seen many vintage stoles and this one is in better condition than most. The fur is a medium length, not glossy and short like most and is a good size. I am a size 14(1X on top) and it fits nicely. So many vintage stoles are very small so this is a find size wise. I believe it is mink as I take all my furs to a furrier at the beginning of the season to identify them and believe she told me mink on this one but can't fully remember. It has a red cast to the color. Lays over the shoulders like a cape with slits to slide your arms through. Stand up collar or lays flat, 2 hidden fur closures down the front and 2 hidden front side slit pocket. Fully lined in a black satin material with silver leaves. This is a really attractive 1930s-1940s Large Dark Mink Stole with attached Hand Warmers by Wm Weisberg Sons of Philadelphia. PA. As I stated, you can use the two extensions for keeping your hands warm or there is another slot that you can just put your hands through. The Mink itself is in Good Condition- there are several tears or separations(as shown in pictures) in the middle of the upper back which look like they can be mended. The Mink is not worn nor does it have a musty smell. The lining as seen in one of the pictures has some rough wear along some of the edge above the Label otherwise the decorative lining is in good shape. Vintage Antique Black Fur Cape Stole Shrug Wrap Jacket Coat Glam CHARMING! You are buying Vintage Antique Black fur Cape Stole Shrug Wrap Jacket Coat Glam! I purchased this stole from an estate sale. It did not have any labels. But I asked about it and it was thought to be a Fur. It is black fur(and when you look close up to the base of this fur, it has a slight red tint. It has black satin lining and is a wrap style with no closures. It measures approximately 26" to 27" from the top of the should to the end of the front tips. The top of the shoulder to the back hem line measures approximately 17-1/2" It does have satin arm straps, which I guess in the 30's and 40's they wore it off the shoulder sometimes. It has a few small blemishes from age, but does not STINK or smell old at all! I AM VERY FUNNY ABOUT THE WAY CLOTHING ... moreITEMS SMELL BEFORE i PURCHASE THEM. There is a small light line(about 3/4"on the inside satin lining that just looks like a fade mark(see photos) This line is not real noticable. Also, on the back, there is a place where the fur has separated(about 1-1/2"it is on the back of the top left shoulder, but DOES NOT look torn.see photos) It looks as though it could be fastened back together by someone who knew about furs. Also, one of the shoulder straps could be reinforced where it attaches to the lining. I guess over the years it has started to come loose, but again it is NOT TORN. Just needs to be stitched once again( see photos of this also) i guess one size fits most regular women. I am a medium to large size and it fits well. Up for auction is a vintage 1940's mink fur hip length cape made by Kindig NewYork. This cape is made of a honey toned soft mink fur; I'm not 100% positive but believe that this is it's original color& it has not been dyed; it is fully lined in crepe fabric. It has arm 2 slits in front; it has a collar; there are very structured shoulders common in 1940's clothing and maybe shoulder pads but I'm not sure; there are 2 fur hooks in front; it is hip length. This is a beautiful fur-it has the two-tone look of a let fur with soft underfur& longer soft guard hairs. This cape only has the manufacturer's tag that says"Kindig New York" but no size tag- it does fit me. I wear an 8. This cape has very structured shoulders which are almost a bit large for me(I have narrow shoulders so this cape should fit a medium- ... morelarge or a tiny bit larger-see measurements) Laid out flat it measures: 20 1/2" shoulder to shoulder across the back measured on the outside of the cape; length of 23 1/2" shoulder to hem measured on the outside in front; 26" measured at the center back; 74" measured around the bottom hemline; 46" armhole to armhole across the back on the inside; and 10" long armholes(Compare these measurements to a cape that fits you to know how this one will fit-measurements taken on outside unless specified otherwise) This cape is in extremely good condition as far as being clean& having no musty odors but it is not 100% perfect as it is vintage; the fur is very soft& the lining has no fading or rips to the fabric but does have a stain next to the tag(seen in last photo-this can most likely be cleaned) there are no other flaws that I can find. Vintage Mink Stole - Four Minks Attached, Clamp Closure - Early 1940s
This vintage stole of four attached minks has no matted fur or odor. And there are no missing plastic eyes or sewn on leather ears on any of the minks. There is a 4" area on the underside of one of the minks where the fur has come away from the binding(4th picture) but I believe this could be easily mended. The threads connecting the two minks that go around the shoulders need to be more tightly secured, but there are no other problems. There is a fabric covered metal clasp on the mink hanging down at the right side(5th& 6th pictures) Please see all seven pictures. This looks like mink to me(we are not experts) There areloops on the underside at each end that you can use to fasten it down. I bet they slipped over a buttom. Lined in satin. I think this dates to 30's or 40's with the"wide shoulder" look. It has concave places on the ends like you would cup that right over your shoulder! May have been a detachable collar for a coat. About 29" long. About 6 1/2" wide in back, tapering a little towards the ends. This is a very nice vintage faux mink fur stole wrap from the 1950's. I remember my mother having one very similar to this. Also remember my Barbie in the later 50's having a cape like this with a long gown. Color is gray, and still can be an alternative to real fur. Has pockets at the end of the front pieces. Fully lined in a gray patterned satin type fabric. Not labeled but probably acrylic In excellent vintage condition. The collar stands up a little around your neck when it is in place across your shoulders. The piece measures 57" from one end to another and the width is about 15" in the center back. DR. SEUSS HOW THE GRINCH STOLE CHRISTMAS BATTERY OPERATED FIGURE This Grinch figure is awesome! Just install 3 AA batteries and squeeze his hand to watch him dance and hear him sing the Grinch song. Figure is in good condition. Still in box. The box, however is not in great condition. It appears to have gotten wet at some point. There is warping and bending of the cardboard. This has not affected the figure in any way.
