It has an elegant look with its contrasting sheared black fur accents. The sheared fur has the rich look of velvet and feels like running your hands through flour.it is just that soft and silky. When fur is sheared. It is much more difficult to identify- it may be seal, rabbit, muskrat or another type of fur, but I am not sure. I believe this wrap to be from the 40's to 50's era. Hook and eye closure at the neck. I have checked it carefully and this striking wrap looks to be in very good, clean condition with no rips or tears in the pelts; the black satin lining is clean with no fraying. No monogram. The pelts are soft and supple with a glistening ... moreluster. The front bottom corners are weighted between the fur and the lining. This auction is for my Grandmother's vintage 4 whole mink pelts stole/ wrap. There aren't any tags on it anywhere. The pelts are all sewn together making an overall length. Including tail, of 50" Further, it features a bite clasp mouth and has 2 chain attachments as shown.
