VINTAGE AUBURN MINK STOLE COLLAR WRAP 1920s 1940s BAKELITE CLOSURE
Vintage mink wrap from many years ago. The wrap is made of 4 full mink. The mink are an intersting auburn color and quite pretty. This is a very old piece. It has a bakelite chain closure. The wrap is intact, it has been in storage for many years and I noticed it sheds as I photographed it. It probably needs a good brushing or vacuming. It may or may not continue to shed I really don't know that much about the antique furs. One mink is missing a glass eye but overall the minks display well. Thanks for looking.

THERE IS A LONG CLIP AT THE MOUTH SO YOU CAN CLIP YOUR STOLE TOGETHER IN THE FRONT. IT IS PRESERVED IN TAXIDERMY STYLE, BUT THE BODIES ARE FLAT RATHER THAN BEING STUFFED. She was always quite proud of it and whenever she got it out to wear she would say. These are the good goods! It was faithfully cleaned and put in cold storage every summer. It measures about 81" long and 14" at its widest where it drapes across the back. It has two pelts on each side that hang down mid thigh or longer. These pelts have the feet and ... moretail. The portion that goes around the shoulders looks like it is made of 6 pelts that are sewn together in the middle. But I cannot be sure of the number. It is made to curve around the shoulders and there is a rather large and strong hook& eye that fastens it near the breastbone. The inside has brown velvet stitched across the shoulder portion. Some of this needs to be restitched onto the pelts. see photo) These pelts also are loosely stitched together by a strong thread every few inches. Some of these threads need to be replaced. This is not major repair work at all. There is also a slight musty smell to the fur. So it should be cleaned. The furs appear vibrant and lustrous to my eye. There is no shedding of fur or dullness of fur. It was always impressed upon me by the family that these were quality furs. My mother in law was quite the piece of eye candy in those days and her husband wanted her to look good- extremely good! There are also two tags on the fur which I have photographed. Beautiful Chajage's vintage mink stole by Burchay Furriers in Chattanooga. TN. The cape measures 19 inches top to bottom, and 33 inches in width. There are also two attached arm pieces. The lining is fully intact with no tears, stains, or wear marks. The pelt is fully luscious with no matting or hair loss. It is a really nice piece. It belonged to my wife's aunt, who passed it to her. My wife does not wear furs.

Vintage mink fur stole mantle wrap cape capelet beautiful 1950/60s!
This auction is for a beautiful. Real mink fur stole from the 1950's-1960's. It is in wonderful condition and has been very well kept! It was only worn a few times. The inside is lined with a light brown satin with retro circle pattern. There are no loose seams or tears anywhere in the lining. However, there seems to be a small sparse spot on the back right shoulder(last pic) but it isn't very noticeable, as the fur pattern hides it well. Warm and elegant, and would make a perfect gift!
