This is a beautiful deity buddha type shrine artifact for family altar and worship from Vietnam. Approximate age is 100 to 150 years old. It is carved from wood and painted and gold gilt leafed. It shows many signs of age and repair including cracks to the wood and a chunk of the base has come off. You can also see that the tip of the finger is flat and missing on the hand. It is possible that many repairs have been done over the years to this beautiful shrine deity. It has much character and a very calming sense about it. The detail is amazing.
