The highly detailed chalkware statue depicts Saint Anthony dressed in a Franciscan robe. Holding the Infant Jesus in his arms. The Infant Jesus is shown holding a lily in one hand. The Child Jesus is shown dressed in a long white gown with gold trim. Facial features, hands and garments are very finely constructed. The back of the statue is marked in incised lettering as follows: M.T.A. 884 1/2 Saint Anthony is the Patron Saint associated with the return of lost articles and missing persons. And is often thought of as the Saint of"miracles" The Vintage Antique St. Anthony& Infant Jesus Statue is in Good to Very Good Condition. With some minor wear and/or roughness noted likely due to many years of past use and storage. However, the statue remains in structurally sound condition, and would be nice for display.
