A beautiful sterling silver tea caddy. It is hallmarked for Chester 1911 with the makers marks being those of Nathan and Hayes. It has a beautiful Georgian design being engraved with swags and most interestingly musical instruments. An attractive antique sterling silver tea caddy made by William Hutton& Sons and hallmarked in London 1900. It is in very good condition with only light surface marks. The pull off lid fits tightly and is decorated with flowers and scrolls and the same pattern is repeated on the upper part of the body. The lower body has a wrythen pattern. A crimped flared base and a vacant cartouche. Full hallmarks to the lid are clearly struck. Those on the body partially worn. England in 1916 by the illustrious Victorian silversmiths A& J Zimmerman at their Regent Place workshops. It is in a cylindrical shape and is fitted with a push fit lid. It measures 3 1/4" tall by 2 3/4" in diameter. It is very substantial- it weighs 121.3 grams- almost 4 troy oz. It is in very good condition for its age with less than the usual surface scratching from light use. No splits or repairs- just a couple of dings to the rear and NO distortion- SUPERB. This is a very rare high quality antique handmade 19th century sterling silver and brass trinket snuff box. it can also be used as a tea caddy or whatever desired. The box is beautifully crafted out of extremely thick metals and is very heavy. it is made from solid brass with exquisite hand cut and inlaid pieces of sterling silver. the pattern is very intricate and intense on every angle of the box and is very well made. the inside part the box has three compartments and four hinged lids that are also inlaid with sterling. the compartments are covered by the large hinged lid and it has two thick brass handles which pivot back and forth on the mounts. Old c1930's S. Kirk& Son sterling silver hive form tea caddy. The top half of the body is ribbed while the bulbous style bottom is smooth finished. The caddy measures 3 1/2" height to the top edge with lid off and is actually 4 1/2" to top of finial with lid on. It is 3" diameter across the top and 3 3/8" at the widest points of bulbous section. The caddy weighs 193.5 grams. Overall good condition but does show several small dings around base.The top edge is slightly out of original round but the pull off/press on lid fits dead tight. The interior of caddy is clean with a couple of small. Light tarnish stains in base. There is also a tiny ding on the lid. There are no monograms. Stamped on base S. Kirk& Son, sterling 16. The all over repousse decoration features scenes of cherubs all around the body(one is walking a dog. Others are working) The lid has a group of men with weapons. It dates to 1908 or earlier. It bears the lion w/key mark indicating a minimum of.934 purity silver and that it was made for export. Pl ease excuse the reflections in the pictures. SIZE: It measures approximately 3 inches high by just under 3.5 inches in diameter. The weight is approximately 140 grams. Superb large Irish sterling silver tea caddy. Fully hallmarked for Dublin 1807. This is a beautiful Irish silver tea caddy made in the reign of King George III by James Scott in Dublin 1807. The caddy has a domed lid with carved wood finial surrounded by a ring of fluted decoration. The rim of the lid has a fine band of fluted decoration. The tea caddy has straight sides with superb fluted bands. The caddy is 5-3/8 inches/ 137 mm in diametre and it stands 5 inches/ 127 mm high. Made of thick gauge silver. It weighs an impressive 590 grams. The underside has clear hallmarks- Harp Crowned. Hibernia, duty mark, letter L for 1807 and maker's mark IS for James Scott. New York. Of very fine quality sterling silver. Octagonal urn shaped, with beaded pedestal foot and collar. Lid is removable(not hinged) Single initial monogram on one panel. This lovely antique sterling silver tea caddy was made by Nathan& Hayes and hallmarked in Chester 1899. It is in very good condition with no repairs but for total accuracy a few very minor dings. Oval in shape it has a pull off lid that fits tightly. The body has relief decoration all around of a mythical scene of figures etc with trees. Hills, clouds and a temple in the background. Identical hallmarks to the lid, body and base. A fine Victorian caddy made with a good gauge of silver as one would expect from these well known silversmiths. Likely a tea caddy. This piece was made by W. J. Braitsch& Co and dates to around the turn of the century. The jar is beautifully hand chased with a floral and scroll repousse design, in a continuous band around the body and around the top of the lid. The jar is clean and ready for use as storage for whatever you like, or simply as a display piece. This piece is in great condition. The details of the chased designs are nice and crisp. The finial of the lid has a couple of tiny dings. Which are not very noticeable. There are no splits, no breaks, no dents to the body, no monograms, no monogram removals, and no repairs.
