Antique Sterling Silver & Purple Guilloche Enamel Compact Snuff Pill Patch Box
Description Up for bid is a sterling silver and purple guilloche enamel snuff or pill box. It measures a little less than 1 and 1/2 inches square and is about 3/8 inches high. The top and the sides are enameled. And the bottom is plain sterling. It opens to a gold-washed interior. The bottom of the compact and the rim of the lid are marked 925. There is also a triangle within a circle(which appears to be a maker's mark) and a date letter of a small i. Since there is a date letter, I assume this was made in the UK for export. Overall condition is excellent. With no damage to the enamel. There is a shallow indent on the bottom of the box, but it in no way detracts. Domestic shipping will be $3.00. Vintage Solid Silver& Enamel- Pill Trinket Snuff Box Pot- 18 grams- 4 CM A good vintage solid silver pill or snuff box. Has superb floral enamel decoration to the lid which is in fine condition with no chips or cracks. It is not hallmarked but has been tested as solid silver. It is in good condition with no dents and has only minor surface scratches. Has a tiny split in the silver on the front corner this does not effect the box in any way- see photos. The hinge is in good working order and the lid closes firmly and is secure. Measures- 4 cm in length x 2.6 cm wide x 1.5 cm in height- Weighs 18 grams of solid silver.

Very nice looking sterling silver and enamel snuff/pill box. Interior has gold wash and outside has nice engraving all around. I couldn't find any hallmarks or makers mark. Very good vintage condition with a couple of very small dings on the blue enamel. Looks like people tending their flock by a river. Cobalt blue enamel background fills in the area representing the sky. Sides are decorated with raised-relief iris flowers. Entire inside of box is gold wash/gilt. Bottom has a textured hammered pattern. Inside surface of lid has two small raised areas. Which appear to be either round rivet heads or solder, presumably to anchor the lid design. 1907 Sterling Silver& Guilloche Enamel Scent Snuff Powder Box Carved Cartouche This hinged round box is stamped 925 for sterling. Has a Date mark for 1907 and The omega symbol. Actually the sign of Leo, struck upside down here, is the town mark the London assay office used on imported watch cases. The round case is 2 1/8" in diameter, about 3/8" thick and weighs 50 grams. The case is marked in three places. The center has a wonderful round intaglio carving of a man and woman dancing done in mother-of-pearl. There is a perforated liner which makes me think it is a scent case but I do not know for sure. The enamel is maroon. Lid is very tight when closed.

Rare Austrian sterling silver and enamel snuff box. Made circa 1840. This is a beautiful large silver and enamel box. Rectangular in shape with straight sides. The box has a large hand painted enamel panel to the lid and four further panels to each of the sides. The panels are finely painted with scenes with groups of people seated outside with trees. Buildings, a dog, sheep and gardens to the background. The lid of the box is hinged and the inside of the box is gilded. The box is 3-5/8 inches/ 91 mm wide and 2-1/2 inches/ 63 mm deep. It stands 1-3/8 inches/ 35 mm high and weighs an impressive 217 grams. The box is not marked. It is in excellent condition with no dents. Chips, cracks or damage. Description I'm offering a lovely silver and enamel old style snuff or trinket box. The lid has a pair of what I believe are retriever hunting dogs. The base has the silver hallmarks for Chester 2007, with the silver content of 0.925, made by I think Ari Norman. Please note the base has an inscription on of the previous owner. Up for auction is a beautiful Austrian rectangular shaped sterling silver and blue Guilloche highly lustrous enamel snuff box from the 1800's. The blue Guilloche enamel design continues all around the bottom half of the box and the bottom has a wonderful engine turned design and texture. On the top cover is a thin white enamel line applied in between 2 silver textured boarders. The outside boarder has dotted indentations which add another delicate detail. The inside of the box has a gold gilded interior with a makers mark 1. possibly the marking was not completed. On the inside top which you can see in the photograph has the number 935. On the top of the lid is silver which I believe to be sterling silver. Measurements 2 7/8 inches long1/2 inch high. and 1 1/4 inches wide. Weight 77.9 grams. Item is well made and in good condition; HOWEVER. There are some surface scratches and dings and wear to the enamel chips and flea bites and a small file mark and an acid spot where someone tested it.unmarked silver but guaranteed to be sterling silver. Item is beautifully adorned made up of sterling silver. The box's lid has a fancy embossed pansy flower that is wonderfully painted with vibrant shades of enamel: orange and green. This is a stunning antique handmade sterling silver and enamel Chinese trinket box. it is a very detailed box and well made in a circular format. the box has many small details which are hand laid with colored enamel and has acquired a lovely patina from age. the lid is hinged in the back and sits recessed over the base. it is in nice antique condition and measures 1 3/8 inches by 1/2 inch. An Antique Nickel Silver& Enamel Snuff Box. This snuff box was made to commemorate the North East coast exhibition held in Newcastle between May and October 1929. Opened by the Prince of Wales– later Edward VIII– it kicked off in the May of 1929. And aimed to boost the region’s trade and employment at a time of real economic hardship. It’s doubtful whether there’s anyone left alive who remembers the spectacle. But it’s a fair bet that- depending on your age- your parents, grandparents or great-grandparents would have trod around what today is Newcastle Exhibition Park. The first day saw 75.000 people flock to the event and, by the time it had finished, 4.3 million folk had visited. There were Egyptian-style pylons. A palace of the arts, and a palace of engineering and industry. There was also a huge boating lake spanned by a bridge. Apart ... morefrom the displays of artistic and industrial might. There were ten firework displays, 70 concerts, and football and athletics, among a full range of other events across the five months. Visitors included King Alfonso of Spain and the Sultan of Zanzibar. The snuff box is in very good condition with just a bit of tarnishing on the base. Measures approx 55mm by 30mm by 17mm. Rare German Sterling Silver Hand Painted Enamel Snuff Box Sheep Dove Dog C1840
Rare German sterling silver and enamel snuff box. Made circa 1840. This is a beautiful large silver and enamel box. Rectangular in shape with straight sides. The box has a large hand painted enamel panel to the lid and four further panels to each of the sides. The panels are finely painted with scenes with groups of people seated outside with trees. Buildings, a dog, sheep and gardens to the background. The lid of the box is hinged and the inside of the box is gilded. The box is 3-5/8 inches/ 91 mm wide and 2-1/2 inches/ 63 mm deep. It stands 1-3/8 inches/ 35 mm high and weighs an impressive 217 grams. The box is not marked. It is in excellent condition with no dents. Chips, cracks or damage.
