18th Century Ching Qing Dynasty Ship Recovered Spoons These spoons are from the Tek Sing Recovery. A ship that sunk in 1822. I bought these about ten years ago when they were more common. Today, however, things are a bit different. I see one ebay seller selling one spoon for $47 plus $20 postage from overseas. That's $67 for one spoon. Is it worth it? I don't know. Although the wreck contained a lot of early 1800s cargo. Some were from the 18th century. Some of the items belonged to those people that had purchased the wares many years ago, as in the case of our spoons with prior ownership name engraved on each piece.
