Vintage Chinese Export Sterling Silver Novelty Miniature of Chinese Fisherman Carrying Net& Fish Description- An antique. Or vintage Chinese export silver miniature man(unsure of exact age but I've had it for thirty-five years lying in a box in the attic and it was my father-in-law's before that) modelled as Chinese Fisherman carrying the fish he's caught. The detail is amazing and even shows a clever lying next to the fish(please see the fourth photograph) as they are obviously taken to be prepared& cooked. The base of the figure is stamped confirming it is made of Sterling Silver and that it was made in Hong Kong. Dimensions- The figure is approximately 2 5/8 inches or 62mm high. Chinese Kuang Hsu 34th Year 1908 "Dragon Dollar" set in a Sterling Silver Dish
A 1908 34th Year of Kuang Hsu Chinese Dragon Pei Yang Silver Dollar Coin set in a Small Sterling Silver Dish. The Dish is Hallmarked Sterling Silver Hong Kong. I am not sure but I suspect this was made to be an ashtray. The edge of the dish is scalloped. It is 4 1/2 inches wide. The Chinese Dollar is Marked as"34th Year of Kuang Hsu" above the dragon. Kuang Hsu was the 11th emperor of the Qing Dynasty of China. He started his reign in 1875 with the 34th year corresponding to the mint date of 1908. I purchased this about 1994 at an Asian Antiques fair and I have never used it as an ashtray! On Mar-25-14 at 06:49:33 PDT. Seller added the following information: Please note. This listing is for an antique. Circa 1900, Chinese sterling silver and enamel sculpture of a bird with gemstones. It measures 5 ¾ inches or 14.5 cm high and is 3 ¼ inches or 8 cm at its widest. It weighs 6.25 troy ounces or 194 grams. The silver is unmarked but has been tested and is guaranteed to be so. This fine silver sculpture features a square stepped base with beaded fringe along the bottom edge. The bird is shown standing on his perch. With a circular base below, also decorated with fringe.
