This beautiful and very detailed religious christening plaque depicts St. Anthony holding the baby Jesus and features the easily recognizable Art Nouveau theme of flowers and ribbons. It is signed by the prominent French medalist. Raymond Tschudin. Art medals are a well-known and highly collected form of small bronze sculpture. And are considered a form of exonumia. Both the round bronze-toned medallion and silver colored rectangular name plate show normal patina. The name plate has not been used and is perfect for inscribing a baby's name. They are both fastened to the 5" x 3 1/2" wooden plaque on dark green velvet. The medallion is signed by Tschudin just to the right of St. Anthony's cape and there are a pair of initials to the left of the Baby Jesus. Awesome Vintage Jesus/Mary/St. Jude Statues Wall plaque. I believe this is celluloid- very detailed with Jesus on the Cross- Above his head is marked INRI. Next to him is is beautiful Mother Mary. And on the other side of him I believe it's St. Jude but I'm not sure. This is in excellent condition for it's age! This is 7 inches high and Mary and St. Jude are about 4 1/2 inches high and it's about 3/4 in thick. This can be hung on a wall or leaned up against something. Solid vintage Ggerman bronze plaque by the German sculptress Eva Limberg with the French lily on both sides. 4.72 x 3,94 inch(12 x 10 cm) very heavy with 501 gram. Early cast piece. If I were to guess I'd say at least a couple hundred years old. If not older. Pieces like this hung in churches. It has been framed, enabling it to be hung on the wall. It measures approximately 15" X 13" With the frame 16" X 15 1/2" The frame is also pitched for hanging on the wall. Wider at the top measuring 4 1/2" and 1 3/4" AT the bottom. The 3d carving extends between 2" and 2 1/2" off the wood. The one ear looks to be missing on the horse as seen in one of the photo's. I have provided many photo's from all angles. I try to break even. At times, I discover that I have overcharged grossly for shipping, at which time I then send a partial refund for shipping. St Jude Roman Catholic Pocket Shrine Plaque Relic(Pre-Owned. Used) This is a Roman Catholic Saint Jude depicted in a gold plaque. Saint Jude is a patron saints for the Catholic faith. Saint Jude Thaddeus is one of the 12 apostles of Jesus often referred to as the saint of hopeless causes. Because so many faithful have sought his intervention on their behalf in times of crisis and near despair to have their needy prayers answered. The metal plaque of this Patron Saint has a raised image pocket of Saint Jude and has an oriental look to his face and hair.
