The tourmaline is decorated with three nicely hand carved quails. The frame is unmarked but tested positive for 14k white gold. The tourmaline stone is older than the frame; which was added a few decades afterwards. Please refer to the photographs below for more details. Measurements: The brooch measures approximately 42.4mm x 31.1mm and weighs 15.3 grams while the tourmaline cabochon is 30.2mm x 26.2mm x 8.2mm. Exquisite antique Art Deco Period Chinese beautifully hand carved jadeite jade brooch fancy prong set in solid 14K yellow gold. The jade's lovely color is a shading of greens to nearly white. The hand carving uses the natural colors to accent the florals carved in the jade. Where the jade is a darker green. The carving depicts leaves and fronds. The lighter greens to near white depict different garden flowers. I have shown a photograph where you can see how the jade carving is pierced right through highlighting the image even more.
