The reel has the letter"B" engraved in to the face plate and has the usual scratches and scuffs that you would expect from the years of use. RARE HARDY BROS. 3 3/4" ST GEORGE 3 Screw Fly Reel
Wow. Up for auction Is this RARE Hardy Bros. 3 3/4" St George fly reel from Alnwick England. This is the rare 3 screw drum with ebonite handle and a really nice condition agate line loop that looks to have 4 small cracks. This model has the ribbed brass feet and the reel is marked J.S. for the famous Jimmy Smith who did Fly Reels from 1908 thru 1960 for hardy. This reel works great but there is a small repair done as seen in photos 6,7,8, but it does not affect the reel at all and it is a almost 80 years old. This is a must have for any collector and please ask questions the photos don't answer before the end of the sale and with payment being due 48 hours after winning! A gentleman on line told me its a 1928-40s reel. Thanks

Hardy St. George 3 3/8 inch w/original box. Excellent finish with intact original agate line guide. Has 3 paint blemishes but no rub marks or scratches of any kind. Spool has some paint loss on interior of the spool due to the oil on the silk line know to cause this due to long period of no use(Shown in last photo) Desirable unaltered ribbed brass foot and bushings. Ultra smooth reel with no play or wobble whatsoever. Original box has"3 3/8" ST. GEORGE" labels on side and top. All corners are in nice condition and the box. Overall, is in very good condition with original padding. Although this is a 2 screw latch 50's model, it is a very desireable reel for either collecting and or using. Works beautifully weight-wise and all else on a fine HDH lined bamboo rod(DT6F)

It is definitely in used condition as it only has one original string on it. I didn't remove it as to protect the guitar. It hasn't been played in decades. There is a problem with the first fret and some rusting(see photo 4) so you will need a little fix up. There is some scuffing around the edges that should clean easily. Maybe a 1947 as I was advised from anotherknowledgeable collector. The Reel is in Very Good Used Condition with a largemajority of its original finish, with no dings or deep scratches, The Reel isAlloy with a Ribbed Brass Foot, 3 Screw Drum Latch, Nickel Silver Tension Screwand ... moreguide line, and an Ebonite Handle. The Reel is stamped inside with JRJ,indicating it was constructed by Jack Johnstone. The Reel comes in a HardySuede Reel Bag, that was unfortunately at some point in time labeled"ST.G” but is otherwise in good used condition. The St George Fountain Pen; 1945 ish; almost mint and boxed
THE ST GEORGE FOUNTAIN PEN Here we have a very-little used. If at all, The St George fountain pen from the 1940's in a beautful mauve and gold finish with nickel trim; the pen has a 14ct gold medium nib and is nice to write with. It is a lever-type filler. CONDITION The pen is in almost-mint condition and is an inexpensive but very functional writing instrument; it has had very little use. If any, so there are no digs, cracks or splits and the plating is good. This is a very nice pen and somewhat better made than a lot of the modern production. NIB The nib is a medium grade 14ct gold and writes nicely with some flexibility. CAP The pen cap is good with secure bands and a firm clip; there are no cracks or splits and the plating on the bands and on the clip is good. BARREL The barrel is good too. The guitar is all original including the original label inside is intact and says this is a"PG1A" model. Lets go form top to bottom. Top of the head is a beautiful blonde wood that looks like a flame pattern in the wood. Tuners are original, intact and work well. The nut looks good and original too. The neck is straight and if you look closely, looks like a tiger pattern to the wood! Simply beautiful. Also looks like pearl inlay. The strings are kinda high, I think people call that"high action" I like this neck! The neck is a nice width like a Gibson. Neck is intact with the body well. The body does show some wear. Wear on top surface a little, edge wear and a little surface wear on back. ... moreNice tailpiece! Wooden bridge is in great shape as well. This is a very lightweight guitar!
