Lot of 7 Vintage Jesus Holy Cards Prayers Verses Swiss Die-Cut This beautiful lot of holy cards all display Jesus in different situations. Though are unique in their own ways. Six of the cards have a Bible verse on the front, one of which is written in German and the seventh card contains the Latin phrase"Ecce panis angelorum, which translates to say, Bread of the Angels" Two of the cards come from Frank Quin& Co. another pair comes from M.H.W. Co. and another comes from Benziger. This information can be found on those cards. Two are marked as being from Switzerland, one of which is die-cut. Four of these cards are in near-perfect condition. Though one of these four have a minimal amount of marking in pencil on the back. One of the other three cards, the Benziger card, is torn part-way through the middle and is marked on the ... moreback. It also shows signs of being folded. Another card is folded at all four corners but is not stained. The third card has a tear half-way through the center of it and contains minimal writing on the back. Here is a collection of very old holy cards from Italy found well preserved in a prayer book. 6 are of Jesus as a child and man. One of them. Jesus blessing bread and wine at the altar, I translated on Google and it is a memorial card for an Italian nun dated 17. Gennaio, 1915. The Santa Chiara card has an imprimatur of November. 1898. And there is an unusual little red pillow with a prayer from St. Teresa of the baby Jesus. They are in very nice condition with a few slight corner bumps only on the Santa Chiara card. 6 Vtg Religious Holy Cards & 2 Die-Cut Jesus as Child from Germany France USA
This listing is for a group of 8 vintage religious paper items. There are two die-cut figures of Jesus as a child. The first(made in the USA) shows Jesus holding a chalice and grapes and measures about 2 by 4 1/2 inches. The second shows Jesus next to the cross with the crown of thorns and measures 2 1/4 by 4 5/8 inches. Each of the die-cuts has a cardboard strip that will hold the card upright. Both are in nice condition with rich colors; the second one has a tiny crease at the wrist of the outstretched hand. There are 6 holy cards; four of them are from Germany. One is from France, and one is from USA. I show ther images the fronts and back of the cards. These measure about 2 1/4 by 4 inches and all are in nice condition with soft colors. Lot of 4 Vintage Virgin Mary Holy Cards Die-Cut French Italian This lot of four vintage holy cards all contain lovely renditions of the Virgin Mary. Three of these cards are die-cut. Two of the four come from Italy and another comes from France. Two of the cards depict child Jesus with Mary and one of these two also depicts Joseph. In a card entitled, The Holy Family" The other three cards have writing on the bottom of the card. The edges of the French holy card are gold as well as the lines surrounding the image of Mary. The words on this card say, O Mary, Virgen full of grace, be our mother and our Queen. Another card in this lot comes from P.J. Kenedy& Sons, who published the card in New York. Writing on the bottom of this card says, O Mary, conceived without sin, pray for us who have recourse to Thee. One of the Italian cards ... moreand the French card are in perfect condition. The other Italian card is near-perfect. Though a very small amount of staining can be found at the bottom of the card. The American card has sustained a yellow stain along parts of the edge and on the bottom-left of the card. There is also writing on the back of the card in pencil. No card out of the lot as a tear.
