This beautiful antique skirt is finely pleated with black silk and a village scene embroidered in silk satin stitch and couched metallic threads. Embroidered butterflies and flowers adorn the pleats. Presented is a very fine Chinese oriental hand painted silk and embroidered fan. This beautiful fan has a great amount of work that has gone into this piece. The fabric portion of the fan appears to be silk and entirely hand painted. There are two women who are finely detailed and portrayed absolutely beautifully. They are surrounded by landscape and wisteria blossoms. Many of the blossoms are hand embroidered with silk thread. The fan guards are made of wood and are also entirely hand carved. The fan base is also made of hand pierced wood. These little pieces of pierced wood are also each decorated with hand painted gold decoration. White silk base(lined in floral blue satin) with extremely fine and intricate embroidery, velvet butterflies, and fringe. White canvas top with two loops on the ends.
