You are bidding on a large late 19th century Chinese Cinnabar lacquer vase. Height 10.5 inches. Nice colouration. I have taken one photo with flash and one without so you can accurately assess it's tone. It has two areas of damage. One on the shoulder(see picture 7) and one where an impact has pushed in the surface of the vase(see photos 9 and 10) All the lacquer is still present so I have not attempted to push it back out from the inside. Late 18th Early 19th Cent Chinese Export Porcelain Cups and Bowl Hand Decorated
Chinese Export Tea Pieces Offered is a set of Chinese Export porcelain items hand decorated with blue trim and orange floral details and green leaves. The pieces include a small bowl that measures 4 1/4" across and 1" tall. There are two extremely small chips and some crazing underneath. Other marks are clearly from production. The second item id a very small footed cup that perfectly matches the bowl. Very common in the 1800's tea cups were made without handles and the tea was drank from a shallow bowl or saucer. Each emblem has a purplish pink circle centered with a blue double bat with double happiness symbols against a green background with white dots in the field. Between the emblems are purplish pink. Red and yellow flowers intertwined with white and green foliage backed with a contrasting green. A border around the base consists of purplish pink waves. The rim is bordered with a yellow line and green leaf patterned band. The base and interior are glazed white. The is a fascinating and colorful example that is rarely seen. Chinese Stained Stone Carving Toggle, Boy w/ Lotus Flower Late 19th Early 20th C
This Chinese boy with Lotus flower is a really nice finely carved stone or gem type stone that looks to have been stained. It measures 2.5 inches or 6.35 cm tall.It has a silk string through it similar to what Japanese Netsuke have on them. The stone itself looks to be cream white color and with sunlight behind it the whole figure turns to a lighter color.I thought it could be nephrite or russet brown jade and it weighs 86 grams or 2.4 ounces. I was told this could be late 19th century or earlier by some people and that it could be 20th century by other people. In any case.The carving detail on this looks very good and the item is cold to the touch like any real stone or gem. I ship worldwide.
