Exceptionally Carved Antique White Jade Medallion/ Amulet 2 1/8 inches in diameter is in very good condition. Aquired from a man who during WW2 Assisted the Chinese Government and was given this amulet as a gift for his efforts. It has been in their family until now. The hand-work in this amulet is intense and wonderful. the design weaves under and over other forms and looks so smooth. The color is white with a very slight hint of green. the back top has a little discoloration of another color that is hard to see from the front. I took photos with and without flash. Rare 19th Century Blue and White Canton Chinese Export Syllabub Cup and Lid with extra bonus second lid. This is a fabulous find and to be in such great condition for its Antique age. The footed cup has a twisted strap handle and a wonderful berry finial motif on lid. It has a gorgeous and pleasing motif and Chinese Scenic detail. It has a great glaze and the beauty of the deep blue color is a sight to behold. It has a very slight flake on the edge of the lid hardly noticeable and a small chip and small hairline on the inside rim of cup. All in All it does not detract from it's beauty. SCROLL DOWN FOR PICTURES(35 pictures below) This auction is for an antique Qing Dynasty Chinese Kernel Carving made from an Olive Nut(also called an Olive Stone) Together with its base. It is engraved with a micro poem on the base. About 44 mm long. Qing Dynasty. It is carved with 28 human faces. Opening shutters, and about 104 Chinese characters. In the olive nut engraving. There are two ladies sitting and drinking in the front of the boat-shaped olive nut, with 2 servants standing behind them. Both sides of the cabin are carved with 4 windows, one on each side has shutters which can be opened and closed easily(one is missing one shutter and the other is missing part of a shutter) There are 6 people viewing the moon on the top, and two more on each side looking out of two upper windows, two people by the rear window, and two people standing ... morein the middle, and two more at the back end. Good condition as shown- appears to be missing one set of shutter from one side and part of a shutter on the other. Otherwise fine. Kernel carving has a long history in China. But it was unclear about when it originated from; its earliest record was in the Song Dynasty, more than 1000 years ago. Carving of this quality disappeared at the end of the 20th Century. Pair of Antique Chinese Brass Silk Irons Up for auction is a beautiful pair of antique Chinese coal-heated brass silk irons. They measure 9" long by 4-1/2" wide by 3-1/4" high. The brass bowls have graceful lotus-shaped rims and are embossed with a series of Lu characters against an allover geometric pattern. The handles are unusual and exceptionally fine. they are carved oxbone or similar. The handles can be removed from their holders. One is carved with a four-toed dragon circling the handle. The other depicts a woman carrying a long branch with a hanging basket that is presumably filled with silkworms. A small person is at her side and pine trees and branches frame the scene. 2 Antique Leaf Shaped Chinese Canton Dishes. Landscape Painting, Blue& White Presented is a pair of two antique leaf shaped Chinese Canton dishes. One dish is slightly larger than the other. The decoration of the larger dish is a slightly lighter shade of blue than the smaller one. Both dishes depict a land-and-seascape with buildings. Trees, boats/ships and an island. The decoration and perspective is very well done. They are similar designs but not identical. The larger dish has a star detail to the border which gives it a quilted effect. Please scroll down to see our photographs. The dishes were made in China in the mid 1800s. The smaller of the two dishes is in great shape. There is a tiny flaw or flake which does not show much as it is against the darkness of a tree. This may have occurred in manufacture. Otherwise there are no chips. ... moreNo cracks, no crazing, and no other problems of any kind. The larger dish has a 19.05 mm chip to the stem of the leaf. This is indicated in our photographs. The larger one also has eight flea bites or flakes to the glaze of the rim. They are hardly visible. Otherwise. There are no other chips, no cracks, no crazing, and no other problems of any kind. At one time there was tape around the bases' edges to protect a table surface. There is a little residue from the tape but this will come off easily. A Magnificent Antique Chinese Opera Doll- 11 1/2" This is a magnificent Chinese opera doll. Circa 1900s, with hand painted pottery head and exquisite gold thread embroidered silk clothing and dragon head dress. He has a human hair Grey beard and looks like Emperor Wu. He is very ornate and grand and generally in very good condition. He has had his index finger on his left hand reattached. During the Qing dynasty these dolls were sold as souvenirs at the opera. RARE Asian Antique Cantonese ACF Marked MADE IN HONG KONG - 2 AUTHENTIC PIECES!!
The set pieces come with 2 different markings. But i primarily am describing, the ACF marking. As with ALL porcelain it always has that"buyer beware" tag attatched to almost anything that is authentic or 99% chance authentic, or is simply a well made replica. I had the blessing of having skilled eyes lead me to this set, and i trusted that persons discreet"tip" that this was authentic vintage, i did the research and all the markings and marks match the authenticity of a legitamate authentic antique set from China of special and desired value and interest. 2 Antique Chinese Carved Hardwood Ginger Jar Lids Pierced Finials RARE HTF
Two beautifully carved Chinese hardwood lids for ginger jars from the estate of a major and well-known Asian arts collector. Both have damage. The lid on the right has an outside diameter of 4 1/8" and and inside diameter of 3 3/8" It's 2" tall to the top of the finial. It has a spot of loss seen in the 6th photo. And both sides of the bottom rim have been glued. The lid on the right is much darker wood and is stamped CHINA in the wood. It is 4 3/8" and the diameter of the rim where it sits on the jar 2 7/8" measuring to the outside rim and stands 2 3/4" tall to the top of the finial It has two checks in the wood and loss to the piercing, shown in the last two photos. They're still beautiful and hard to find. Turn the damage to the wall!
